If you are unable to get the game on TV in whatever fashion, watch it streamed live on the Internet.

You'll need a decent connection (dialups may be very poor performing) as it requires a connection that can send and receive data at around 32 to 96 Kbps.

First, download the P2P SOPCast player at the following link:

SopCast - SopCast, Free Internet TV, VoIP, Video

Second, Install the player and run it.

Third, In the "Address" field, enter the following SOPCast Link:

sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/12993

This is the dedicated link for the Chargers-Browns game.

The game won't start until the kickoff time of 1:15pm Pacific, 4:15pm Eastern, 9:15pm GMT

What is SOPCast?

It is a P2P (Peer-to-Peer) streaming media player that functions for live streaming video/audio the same way BitTorrent does for general files. You receive streamed media from the closest peer that can send it, and also send packets to another peer is closeby that needs them. So, you download and upload data at the same time.

NOTE:

That link is only for the Chargers-Browns game. There will be different ones for each week's game.

There isn't a MAC Version available of the SOPCast program. Sorry, the person who wrote the program only uses PCs.

The "black window" will appear for 30 seconds to 1 minute as it buffers the data. Be patient, it will eventually go away and the streamcast will appear.

If you get frequent buffering, it could be because not as many people are "viewing" that particular channel to be able to transfer data to you.

Just like BitTorrent, the more people connected to a certain channel, the better the broadcast for all viewing it.
