These are records that were major disapointments. Was there was a band that you really dug and were excited about the release of their new album but when you heard it, you hated it? To the point where you don’t really listen to the band much anymore.
    Here’s mine...

1.) Motley Crue ~ Theater of Pain
    2.) Metallica ~ Load
3.) Anthrax ~ State of Emphoria
    4.) Judas Priest ~ Turbo
    5.) Soungarden ~ Superunknown

To me, rap/hip hop is a bastardized version of the sweet soul sound of Motown, so no, I've never ever been a fan of that ****.

I don't understand how this could be the case.

Using myself and my favorite band as an example, Chevelle could release the worst album in the history of man where they sing nothing but Barney and Sesame Street songs and their first four albums would still kick *** and I would still listen to those albums a lot.

As for an example, I don't know if I'd place it in a top 5 worst list, but the latest P.O.D. album was a bit of a disappointment.

I'm with you on the vast majority of rap/hip-hop but I think he's looking for an album from a band you normally like that released an album that wasn't any good.

    Good point.

Responding to the thread title alone, there's a plethora of rap/hip hop albums that would flood the top of these lists.

I guess I should have made my point further...
And if after that, the band took a turn for the worst and continues to suck.

IMO... Everything from Motley Crue now sucks and it ALL started with Theater of Pain.
Same goes for Metalica. Though they made 5 awsome albums, their last 3 suck!

Back in the eighties I loved the Violent Femmes self titled album.

I was in a record store one day and saw that they came out with another album called Blind Leading the Naked

I didn't realize that the Femmes had turned into a christian rock band for a while. This album sucked so bad. I think there was a song on it that went, give me a "G", give me an "O", give me a "D", what's that spell? That spells GOD! WooPhuqinHoo. Yes, I still have this POS album somewhere.

Whoever talked Pat Boone into doing a 'metal' album had to be certifiable. Pat Boone doing anything other than his squeaky-clean stuff is like the Lawrence Welk Orchestra playing hip-hop, or along the lines of "Donny Osmond Sings Eminem's Greatest Hits". Egads.
