This seems to be the trend, incentive laden contracts for the veterans that allow them to make top or near top dollar for their play. It also is a bit more risky for the player, meaning they could end up making less if an injury were to occur.

My question is this...

When will the NFL at large learn and start controlling the insane contracts the rookies are demanding. Rookies who may never pan out in the NFL are getting contracts larger than most 5 year veteran players. This doesn’t seem logical to me, not at all.

Signing bonuses for veterans are dwindling, yet most 1st and 2nd round wet behind the ears, never played a snap of NFL football get signing bonuses. 2.5 million is a common figure. There seems to this fan to be a discrepancy. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with the performance based contracts. Love them. But in the mind of this jaded fan, Rookies, especially those at positions like QB, Corner or Safety should be dealt with in a more reasonable manner. Performance based contracts would seem to protect the team from financial mismanagement should the rookie not pant out, and allow the rookie to make the big buck, providing they can perform at the NFL level. The Rookie salaries have to be better controlled, and the NFL as a whole needs to tell the kids, "YOUR NOT THAT GOOD YET!"

That is my opinion, what is yours?

I don't know if you guys noticed, but that brazilian chick had some serious airpit hair going on. I noticed when she reached across the table to pass out coffee. Other than than, she looked good.
