Another one arrested: KFFL

Bengals | Police and courts: Steinbach arrested
Mon, 7 Aug 2006 21:06:09 -0700

ChannelCincinnati.com reports Cincinnati Bengals OG Eric Steinbach has been charged in Northern Kentucky for operating a boat under the influence of alcohol. He is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 9:00 a.m. Steinbach is the seventh player from the team to face legal charges since last season.

Amazing .......

Steinbach latest to be arrested

LAST UPDATE: 8/7/2006 11:09:37 PM

The last thing the Bengals need right now is another entry on the police blotter and Eric Steinbach is certainly an unexpected addition. The charge is boating under the influence in Campbell County Sunday night at 11:20. The players were given Sunday off after two weekend scrimmages in Georgetown.

The 26-year-old guard is in his 4th season with the Bengals and in the final year of his contract. Negotiations for a long term deal with the Bengals stalled this offseason, and shutdown after the record contract signed by linemate Levi Jones.

Steinbach's part of the starting line that yielded a franchise-record low 21 sacks last year. The Bengals say they are aware of the charges but standard with team policy don't comment on arrests until they are settled in court. Steinbach did participate in practice at Georgetown today.

That team will implode 6 games into the season.

Surprising, I thought he would be the last coach to have such discaplin problems.

Marvin Lewis is an idiot...:puke:
Didn't you hear the Sirius ballwatchers (Schein, Wilcots, Rice, etc) say when Ahmad Brooks landed in Cincy that Marvin Lewis was a great HC for him because he could straighten the kid out?

That's worked great for the team so far !

This is becoming like the Portland WeedBlazers of the 90's .....

Doesn't that seem strange? Boating after 11pm? The Bengals had to have a Monday morning practice scheduled.

Do the Bengals have a curfew or anything simular in rules that the players have to adhere to. It seems fishy to me.:icon_huh:that if you have a Monday morning practice that the player would be sound asleep or getting ready for bed. 1+1 is not equaling 2 it is equaling 9783766562546907661861 and making no sense what so ever :icon_shrug:. I am wondering if the Cincinnati Bengals are starting to become yet again the Cincinnati BUNGLES.

Bengals Set Up 'Jerk' Hotline for Fans

Team Hopes to Counter Bad Behavior With Penalties

CINCINNATI (Aug. 8) - Cincinnati Bengals fans annoyed by bad behavior in the stands can now report it by cell phone. The hot line number should be easy to remember - (513) 381-JERK.

~~~~~
Problems with fans in the stands seem to be the least among the Bengals worries.
Great find Shamrock instead of the Bengals fans concerned over other fans and have a cell phone number to call they should call the front offices of the Bengals to get the players to stop being felons also they should be more concerned about their team because it might be imploding before their very eyes. :icon_eek: :icon_huh:
The timing seems rather curious, and in terms of public relations, this has got to feel like a joke to Bengals fans.
I understand Maurice Clarett held his recent tryout for the team but getting arrested as well. He was wearing a bullet proof vest and had an open bottle of Grey Goose Vodka and a few loaded weapons in his ride. He smashed into a cop cruiser before he was tazed and maced and arrested.
I expect Marvin Lewis and the clown that owns the team to be calling very soon.
Maurice Clarett had a bright future and squandered it all away and is a shame that a man has to go down the road to destruction instead of working hard and doing the right things and if he would have done that he would be a star in the NFL but no he has to be a felon instead. The man reaped what Maurice Clarett sowed a cell 10 by 10 with a bunk bed, personal facilties, a bright jump suit, 3 square meals a day, hard labor and conjugal visits. What a life that is going to be.:no:
