Now, having fully read and digested the blog update.....

Who the heck would have thought that Marty, the ultra-conservative HC that makes the GOP look like a bunch of 1960's hippies, would be "opening up" the offensive playbook! :icon_eek:

When teams start having a little success, other teams start gunning for them, probing for a soft underbelly that they can stab at. Teams discovered last year that Drew couldn't get the ball out fast enough against eight and nine man fronts and exploited him.

Rivers must get comfortable immediately with dumping off fast for decent yardage, because he will have defenders in his face until he makes them pay.

The more ways they can find in training camp to help him do that, the more success the team will have at the start of the season.

Nice work and thanks for the great read...one thing though...Manumaleuna was not a Free Agent...he was acquired via trade (4th round pick) from the Rams on Draft Day...

"The only free agent additions likely to start are Marlon McCree and Brandon Manumaleuna"...

"Free agent tight end Brandon Manumaleuna has also been doing some blocking for Tomlinson and Turner on the left"

otherwise excellent article...;)

right, I guess technically he was never "free"...especially since he cost the team a 4th rounder.
