What a joke. Dumbest move ever by the NFL. Went against what everyone said.
Chargers should have gone to Vegas. And like the Raiders are now, all Vegas cared about was
one pro team vs. another pro team, all supported by the casinos. Raiders now have no.1 priced ticket at $1,078 per game. Even the dumpy Chuggers would be making money there, don't have or need a home venue, casinos don't care. Raiders would of been a double win in LA with Rams and Raiders in one Stadium. The only reason Chargers are in LA is because Deano wanted his baby boys to get their way in the Big City.

If they actually play in 2020, the Chargers will make less money with their 26,000 ticket.
(assumed) sales vs their old Stub Hub. They had highest league prices at the Stub but at the SoFi, Stadium, even with the magic $100 PSL license fee, with tickets at $60, $70, $80, $90....they're going to generate less revenue than they did before!
Now they want 30 years to pay off more $ G-2 loan....ha!
What about the $650 million installments both teams are scheduled to make starting in Dec. 2020?

The League should dump Deano somewhere, make a deal with Walmart Boy.
Meanwhile they made the poorest owner, Mark Davis, rich. What a screwed up League.

It’s really starting to look like Spenis outsmarted Kroenke.

The view from the cheap seats seems to point to something other than it being a case of one billionaire outsmarting another one. In fact, it appears as though one far less endowed trust fund boy is taking advantage of a sweetheart deal, and acting out of spite for he must've perceived as an insult when the rest of the owners voted against him in 2016.
It's been widely reported that Dean had the rug pulled out from under him in Houston, where he walked in to the Relocation Vote confident of having a winning bid. Of course, Jerry Jones and Stan Kroenke had other ideas, and Dean left those meetings seething and likely looking for revenge. Falling $300M short when the goal is 400 is not an act of out-maneuvering... I'm not even sure if it can be accomplished through sheer incompetence... there has to be malice involved!!

So the MFing NFL will bail out Kroenke (and spanos) and couldn't come up with anything significant to keep the bolts in SD. That says a hell of a lot about the integrity of the league. Jerrah and Kroenke and the powerbrokers as well as Goodell pushed this thing and screwed SD out of a team and stadium in the process. There was never an intention to stay in SD. The league was never surprised by spanos' decision. They could have spent a hell of a a lot less to keep them in SD. It's either that or the league andpower players were totally incompetent in estimating the costs of Inglewood. Kroenke is a major devil in all this. He instigated it all, made a totally ridiculous deal with spanos to give him a free ride and no brainer move from SD, and screwed STL. I hope Kroenke gets effed in this whole thing and goes straight to hell along with spenis, Goodell, Jerrah, Richardson, and the rest of the enablers who turned their backs on SD. Eff them.

BTW Kroenke's team is being totally incompetent after spending thru the roof for a one year stand and now paying the price for zero cap room and having to unload key players and ending up as one of the weakest teams in their division. Hope they completely fail up there along with spanos. Just keep losing and see how many seats you sell dumbasses.

I remember last year talking about how the Rams could not afford to keep their team together and a lot of people railed at the idea, because it was so twisted up in the hate for the Chargers. Fact is, they tried to make a splash back into LA. They did it too soon. They should have spent like that THIS season. Open the new house with a team everyone is circling as the SB team from the NFC.

Of course the NFL will bail Kronke out. They have to, too much egg on their face if they do not. I think that is why the NFL is putting the Media center there. I also believe that the Spanos will be punished for not paying their share. I think in the next 10 years the Spanos will be forced out, unless they buy a clue and start being one of the team (meaning NFL owners team).

agree totally the lambs were like someone running a 4 year marathon and they sprinted to the finish line in year 2 LOL. Really really questionable front office. Kroenke put all his faith in this guy Snead and now look. I'm not even sure McVay is a decent HC and I'm not even sure Goff is a starting QB. That may sound harsh but I was not at all impressed last year and even in the year they went to the SB they lucked out against ATL with a botched officials call. They unloaded all their interior linemen that helped them get to where they DID get then wondered what happened to the running game and the D.

I always hated the Rams when they lost every year to those juggernaut Niner teams. Felt the same about Jim Mora's Saints. They never gave the Niners any competition in that entire division so there was a decade and a half of free rides to the playoffs. Hated the Niners and still do. It got much worse after they beat up on spanos in the SB.....really hated em after that. PLUS the Niners got dinged for cheating the cap which did not surprise me. They managed to give players incentives outside of the cap IIRC....thingslike apartment complexes etc etc. The mafia DeBartolo still indirectly influences them right? Is it his sister? Hate em. Right up there with spanos LOL.

You don't fall $300 million short off a deal and not end up in Court. Esp. with Kroenke.
If Bolts and Rams have to sell single game tickets this season (sans the required PSL), the project will be a major failure. You'll have crowds (if fans are allowed) for games but the
Main money driving stadium engine will be shot. .Org. PSL holders will be screwed. No one will buy a Chuggers PSL ever. Don't do that. Next year vendors will have folks buying single game tickets and the whole process starts over but you still have $5 billion of debt.

Will the NFL also give Stan and Deanodumbo another extension in their relocation fees due?
This is why the NFL is to me a joke. All the “rules” of the League (loans, Rooney Rule) can be changed as needed, rules on the field (PI ruling) can be changed or dropped for the corporate good.
Thus, there are no rules.
“Player and fan personal safety is our no. 1 concern”. I wouldn't let them near a sick goldfish.

yup, they'll go whichever way the wind from blowhard Jerrah blows. LA was such a great PSL market, Fabiani told us how much more they can support PSL's than SD, so SD was secondrate and was a fallback for them. Always was. Fabiani was ex vice mayor of LA handing out conracts to businesses. He had all the conflict of interest in the world in advising spanos where to build a stadium or which city to look towards. That guy is a major dick. Now look at his advice, that little POS.

Ok...Good.

Maybe a good court battle, and division in the ranks would hurry the ousting of the Spani form the owners club.

Nov. 2019

The Chargers have often felt like the visiting team in their tiny, temporary stadium in Carson. Their lack of fan support has been evident this season as Steelers and Packers fans comprised at least 80% of the crowd. The Steelers game had a particularly bad look as a nationally televised Sunday night contest.
Many expect the Chargers to have more of a home-field advantage next season when they move into the palatial SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, which they will share with the Rams. But during the NFL’s fall meeting last month, the Chargers’ personal seat license revenue projections — which are going toward construction costs — were cut by more than half.

Lower prices are one reason why the Chargers’ PSL revenues have fallen short of projections. A PSL for an upper-deck midfield seat for Chargers games costs $100. The same seat for Rams games is priced at $4,000.
While affordable PSLs could draw more season-ticket holders, the price disparity has caused friction between the Rams and Chargers as the cost of the Hollywood Park project is approaching $5 billion, with Rams owner Stan Kroenke footing most of the bill.
Maas and Rams CEO Kevin Demoff tried to quiet any rumors of rancor during a recent event at the stadium.
“There are always challenges when there are two competing teams, but both sides are doing everything in tandem,” Demoff said. “By everything I see, the Chargers are going to be partners with us for a long time.”

More debt, less revenue. Bring on the attorneys.

I find it interesting that SoFi Stadium will be artificial turf. Meanwhile in Vegas, Allegiant Stadium will have natural grass for the Raiders, but artificial turf for UNLV.

I bet within 5 years it will be artificial in LV.
1) keeping the grass growing in that heat is hard
2) it will take what 40 minutes to roll the turf in which can be a problem if something breaks.

Just my guess, but the grass in LV is cool.

Arizona’s stadium has a similar setup - they roll in the grass field.

Okay.
Will there be a NFL season. Too much money to be made.

1. There will be no fans in the stadiums.

2. There will be fans in a stadium.
Since no. 2 only needs one crazy ass state to think they got it “all covered”,
they will let thousands of fans in.

3. The NFL will do a lot of promo testing, but carry no liability. Teams will carry the liability of lawsuits and if the willing state has a decent sense of corruption, they will pass a law to
protect poor owner from such death caused by virus lawsuits.

4. The NFL will have a special ceremony at the Super Bowl to honor those
brave fans who have fallen.

Then is it really grass? I always recalled grass having roots in the ground and staying there.
Where it belongs.
I’m not sure if the mechanics of it all but if you had a tray of soil and planted seeds it would indeed be grass. I would also assume they’d have to repeat the process as I’m thinking not having the dirt actually connected to Mother Earth would not make the grass have a long life but I’m not a botanist or arborist or whatever you’d call someone who knows this stuff (nor did I sleep in a Holiday Inn Express).

Here's the problem: (from another source)

I know saying artificial turf is a mouthful, but shortening it to just turf conveys the opposite meaning.

Turf means grass. Unfortunately, it also means fake grass.

We need a word that doesn’t convey its exact opposite

Since when does “turf” mean fake grass? “Artificial turf” is fake grass. Besides, what does this have to do with your assertion that grass must be planted into the earth to be grass?

You'd never heard of the Rams' Greatest Show on Turf?

If your grass is portable, it's just sod. Like in a nursery. It's not grass till it's in old Mother Earth.

You know, cut roses vs. the actual in the ground rose.

I have potted trees. They all would love to be in the ground. Where they belong.

Well that nickname for the Rams was just that, a nickname.

Your explanation of sod makes sense. Told you I didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn Express. ;)

I’ve been told some people smoke grass. They don’t smoke turf. And I’m not sure but I thinks it’s a plant. So is it grass or turf???

No holiday inn either.

Okay....we have No. 2 done.
Now just write up the liability clauses and disclaimers and we're good to go.
Hopefully, NFL says local fans only. Otherwise, you've bought yourself a nightmare...
but maybe your team won.
