It's the battle of the near-.500's:

Pitching Matchups:
SD: RHP Woody Williams (5-4, 3.79 ERA)
Williams picked up his fifth win of the season his last time out, allowing two runs on eight hits over seven innings at Houston.

ARI: RHP Enrique Gonzalez (3-4, 4.98 ERA)
Gonzalez has an 0-2 record and a 5.06 ERA over three August starts and 16 innings.

Player to watch
Diamondbacks rookie shortstop Stephen Drew looks like he's having very little trouble adjusting to life in the Major Leagues. The 23-year-old just ended a 13-game hitting streak on Thursday, and he is hitting .312 on the season. He has four triples, nine doubles and three home runs in 28 career big-league games.

We could had Stephen Drew, too, dangit.

I already gave Conor Jackson the Bird*:

*take the voodoo curse off the Padres

GO PADRES
