SI Ranks Rivers over Eli - top QB's under 25 - Giants board not happy.

Those Giants fans are idiots. I guess they didn't watch the Pittsburgh game because IMO Rivers won that game along with the defense.

Biatches.

Rivers has yet to have a truly bad game. Eli is very inconsistent. Sometimes he looks great, other times he plays horribly.
Not to mention that he doesn't play with much emotion. Now that might not sound like much of a deal but I can't imagine his facial expression gets anyone excited in the huddle. guy never looks like he's having fun out there.

I think Eli is good. But I honestly don't think he'll improve much from now on. And the thing is that Philip might not improve all that much either. I mean what else can he do? He's been doing everything that's asked of him. People already say he plays like a 10 year vet and at the same time people still talk about how Eli still needs to mature and how good he'll be once he does so.

I love how the Giant fans keep bringing up how he's only played 5 games. I can see their point but unless Rivers wakes up retarded tomomrrow I don't see his productivity declining.

Doesn't matter. In 28 starts, we know Elisha still has a lot of improving to do. If he can improve that is...:icon_shrug:

Rivers is making his mark.

My concern with him and most other fans after watching him were two fold.

1. Rivers took a long time to get in the groove and looked rooky-ish. It seemed to take one or two series to get in synch. Not anymore.

2. His backpeddle was atrocious and choppy. His footwork was hideous. Not anymore.

So Rivers has corrected those things to this fans satisfaction now I want to see his deep post in stride and his play-action fakes (how well does he sell it).

When Rivers hits that magical 50+ yard post pattern in stride every fan will know "holy **** this kid really is the Chosen One".:bolt:

When he came in for Brees against Denver last year he ran a play-action fake that caught my attention right away. I called my buddy right after and said he sells it WAY better than Brees.

Yeah, in his first few preseason games, he looked clumsier than any QB I'd ever seen. I am SHOCKED at how smooth he looks on the run now.

RIvers will have his ups and downs. But with each game he'll learn. And the more he learns the better he'll get. He could wind up pretty dang good when all is said and done.

You want proof that we got the better QB?

We don't have whiney ***** threads like that on this forum that show how self-conscious we are about the topic.

Eli's long balls has more hang time the Scfries punts.

I swear DC's are going to be telling the secondary LET the recievers get behind you Eli is going to flutter one to you...

Gnats fans biatch and moan about Rivers only starting 5 games.

Ok then, let's use this against them.

Compare Eli after starting 5 games to Rivers after starting 5 games.

Eli went 0-5, Rivers is 4-1.

Eli threw 4 times as many picks as TDs. Rivers is almost the complete opposite, with almost 4 times as many TDs as picks.

Either way, it adds up to.....

ELI SUCKS!!!!

Watching Philip in the preseason last year to seeing him starting during the reg. season this year is night and day. Last year he looked scared, uncertain, fragile, weak, and above all else, confused. Now he looks poised, confident, strong, and above all else, the leader.

All Eli has going for him is his fukkin' last name.

Read this exchange:

The Chargers got the better Qb AND Shawne Merriman - the Giants really got taken to the cleaners on that trade.
All semblence of a conventional conversation just went out the window. Someone really oughta hook a car battery up to this jerkoffs teeth. I normally dont respond to this ######, but christ, sometimes its too much...

Here's another one:

Simply because a fan is honest enough to recognize and acknowledge talent on another team, does not make them any less of a fan of their own team. Mutual respect is not something to be frowned upon, if your opponent is good and you beat him anyway, it's a much greater accomplishment and way more gratifying!
Harooni
very nice way to word it, but sadly the homers here only think black and white. they think to be a loyal fan means you cant give respect to another teams good players. i am old school i dont get cocky about my team and i respect the teams oponents and never count a win before hand.
