CHULA VISTA – How does the Chula Vista Chargers sound? Or, maybe the San Diego Chargers of Chula Vista?

Chula Vista Mayor Steve Padilla and Councilman John McCann met with the Chargers Wednesday to determine whether the National Football League team is willing to consider leaving its home in the city of San Diego, where it has played since 1961, for the South Bay.

It largely depends on whether the Chargers can strike a deal for a new stadium in Chula Vista.

Well I hope they can get something done. The thought of watching the Chargers play anywhere else other than San Diego or San Diego County does not thrill me. It's a little easier for because I don't live down there but I love my trips to sunny San Diego. :)
