I wonder if it was ephedra (hey Todd) or HGH ? :icon_eek:
At Roaf's age, he's far more likely to test positive for Metamucil, Bengay and Viagra. It's the nature of life. Every thoroughbred eventually becomes a broken down nag.

I suspect something a bit more especially when the dude said he was not retiring earlier this year and would leave the team losing their two starters at tackle/guard

Igor/Foley vs. Jordan Black

Castillo/Merriman vs. Kyle Turley

I'll take those odds.

I don't know what the Chiefs are thinking with Turley. Not only is he a psycho who enjoys throwing is team and his coaches under the bus, he is a shell of his former self. Dude dropped to 260 because of chronic back problems. Now he's going to gain all the weight back, and what, are the back problems just going to be magically cured? What, did Turley buy some magnets that cured his back ailments?

I for one need IGOR to prove it on the field....I can't get that play out of my head where Larry Allen threw him 10yds thru the air with one arm
What about the play where Igor tackled Clinton Portis with one arm while while fending off a 330lb tackle with the other?

You can't judge a player on one play. Anyone can beat anyone else on a given play, provided they get leverage.

Oh well, sucks for KC. :icon_rofl:

Have Merriman and Philips lineup on the edges against KC, and let them do a "Priest Holmes" on Trent Green.

Chiefs | Roaf retires
Fri, 28 Jul 2006 08:48:57 -0700

Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs OL Willie Roaf, one of the league's premier offensive linemen, has decided to retire from football after 13 seasons. While he was adamant about his desire to play early in the offseason, lingering injuries to his hamstring and knee led to Roaf's decision to retire.

My favorite line from this article:

"Edwards said Thursday the Chiefs would use Jordan Black at left tackle and Kyle Turley at right tackle when practice begins this afternoon."

The greatest line in football is no more. They've lost one of their two Hall of famers and both of their starting tackles since last season.
Well, LJ's stock just went down in my fantasy league rankings.

Besides the blender in the anus post, I like this one:

"Everyone watch your fingers, as the Super Bowl window is now slamming shut!"

What they lost on offense they gained on defense. 7-9. It will be fun to watch Hali and Allen and Pollard. We should be able to torch Marcus Maxey but he will be in the league for a long time.

Ya so much for Herm wanting to change the KC offense and run more :icon_rofl:
Herm's up to his old tricks, ruining KC's cap. According to the KC Star, they knew Roaf was retiring before they signed Ty Law to that cap un-friendly contract. Sure, that makes sense. Let's kill our cap for our chance to "win now" when our Hall of Fame LT just called it quits.
