I put a RED dot approximately where the seats are and a BLUE box between "I" and "K" for general area for the TGate that we can try for, but we will have to see what is there when we get into the lot. There is a chain link fence the runs the perimeter of the parking area so if we can park against that, Trumpy can hang his banner.

    BBQ(medium sized weber), Coolers(1LG, 1SM), Chairs, 6 Ft Table, Coleman Camping Grill/Stove

Road Trip: Bolts vs 9ers - Oct 15th

This thread has now been designated as the place to post important info about the road trip. KWAK was kind enough to compile all of the info he could about the trip, but if you have something important that you need to add, post it here. Thius will allow everyone to get right to the info and not have to go through tons of posts just talking about going on the trip.

If you'd like to talk about the trip in general, please use the other thread. Both have been made sticky threads until the game.

Last year on 10/8, the temperature at game time was in the mid 60s with 15-25 MPH winds.

Good advice for Monster Park and SF in general: WEAR LAYERS. With the wind blowing and cloudy conditions it can feel as cool as 45, but if the sun's out and the wind dies, it can feel as warm as 75-80.

October is actually one of the better months for weather in SF. The winds aren't usually TOO strong, like the summer, and there's more sun typically than in Jun-Sep.

If you need a hotel for this game, travelworm has good deals. I use travelaxe. It automaticly grabs the best deals from about 10 websites.

Section 51....row A. I think I'm in the first row.... does anyone know if it's okay to hang posters from the railing? I was thinking of bringing a big charger flag and hanging it up there.

If you come to the tailgate, that kinda stuff can prolly be arranged. Like who's putting which banner up where. Or, just put the sucker up.

Average wind speeds this month so far:

The thing out at Candlestick is the gusts. Wind can be blowing at 10-20 mpr, but gust at 45 every now and then. Most everyone who's been there has seen little tornados on the field at one game or another.

Am I the only one who does not know the answers to the following questions:

Where and when are we meeting on gameday?

Where in the parking lot are we tailgating?

Who's bringing what for the 'gaiter?

Who's driving? Who needs a ride?

I know there are local drivers and some out of towners with cars. Cars entering the park will need a pass which can be bought on EBAY. From what I hear at least three or four people have already purchased their parking pass.

The meeting time at the Mariott (Sunday AM) is not set in stone and will probably be decided upon on Saturday night. Expect it to be fairly early. Get a few cell phone numbers for more details if you don't plan on being at the Marriott on Saturday night.

The TG spot is between H and I. That's all I know.. I plan to get to the TG around 10 or so and will just scour that area until I find everyone. If this group is not easy to find, I'll just call someone for the exact TG location.

Toby is sending some fajitas... I believe the locals are bringing a few grills and there is going to be a Saturday night run to the grocery store near the Marriott where some drinks/food will be bought. Many people have agreed to pitch in some money towards the drinks/food.

Well, as a local, who has offered to procure a friend's minivan to shuttle people to the game. I find myself in a bit of a quandry as what to do. I am not going to be able to attend Saturday's festivities. If enough people need rides, and it makes sense for me to drive, I'm happy to do so. But I'll need the details before Saturday night in order to square things away.

PM your phone number to at least one of the guys, Trumpie, Thumper, Toby... and so on....so you can be contacted on Saturday night... I'm sure there will be plenty of guys who need a ride on Sunday morning.
