Ravens #1 Rush Defense Surrenders 150 Yards To Chargers Backs

Chargers - 150 yards rushing (Tomlinson 98 yards, Turner 46 yards)
Ravens - 56 yards rushing

Well, I guess the ravens aint the #1 Defense anymore...

I'd switch stats and take the victory.:icon_sad:
Me too..:icon_sad:
But all I heard all week from Ray Lewis was how there is no way the Chargers rush for 100 yards against the Leagues top defense...:rolleyes2:

True.

The Ravens D didn't win this game.

The lack of any Charger O in the second half lost it.

Thanks Marty.

Dont take away from what the Ravens did today. We went up against one of the best D's and they pretty much shut us down the entire second half. Was there a single first down in the second half?

The play calling sucked, and their D played a good game.

I don't think he figured the Chargers would rush the ball 41 times or 75% of the plays.
When we play for 3, or punts as we did today, we beat ourselves.

Thats partailly true, but so not be a complete homer and disregard what the D we went against did.

They obviously scared Cam into calling only runs, no reverses, no RB throws, nothing to try and win this game. He called a game to play for FGs and punts.

The Ravens D were more than happy to help with Cam's game plan.

CONC remember you and me talking about this after game one and we got ROASTED?
I dont remember getting roasted. I know some super homer fans felt it was wrong to question Cam's wisdome. A W will do that to people.

He knew...he was quoted as saying that Marty was gonna try and "hide Rivers" and that all he (ray) was looking at on film was #21...not #17...

I would just like an explination from Marty, Cam and AJ about why Rivers is soo good we have to 'hide' him, and then throw him in a meat grinder with less than one minute left and ask him to suddenly win. Nothing like building his confidence.

Did you guys notice that 4 of the top 7 defenses in the league are in the AFC West? And I suspect Denver will move up the rankings, presently 7th. We definitely will end being in the toughest division when all is said and done. Surprise is KC is number 2.

The difference between running out the game in week one vs this game, is that in week one we had a solid lead. If we were up by nine in the 4th, I don't mind the martyball. But when it puts us in a position where we have to give up a safety?!?!?! then it's not working. Running out the clock only works when you have enough lead to prevent the comeback. Because we failed on 2! fg's, we needed to stay agresive.

But, we also made stupid mistakes and costly penalities. THAT'S MARTYS FAULT TOO!

You will be waiting a long time for that one.

Marty will never say and Cam is not allowed to speak to the media.

AJ doesn't make Game Decision, so you can foget about that one as well.

Marty set that game plan right out of Marty Ball 101.

The coach is supposed to put the players in the best situation to win. He did not do that in the 2nd half.
