Joe Tsai actually. Dude is super-rich and could do anything. Like, build a private arena in SD where he takes home all the revenue from events then eventually moves the Nets.

Love Joseph Tsai.......I hope he fills the spot spanos could have had had he been a decent human being instead of a blatant prick. Tsai could become the hometown hero if he builds an arena and fills it with major league basketball and hockey. PLUS....let's not forget the guy is a minority NFL owner and loves that sport just as he does the others.....he wanted to purchase Carolina IIRC. So just maybe this guy brings the NFL back to SD. I would love it if spanosprick were forced to sell by the NFL and Tsai stepped in and brought our team back to it's rightful hometown. Tsai would be given the keys to the city and spanos would be relegated to his rightful place as the most evil sports figure of all time in SD. Tsai can fund most of the cost of a new stadium in MV. My ideal is an entire complex there that includes the arena plus a stadium for both the Aztecs and an NFL team. Let Tsai have the rest of the land free to develop what he wants. Make THIS the media hub of the NFL instead of that POS Inglewood which is a hellhole right next to an international airport and incredibly noisy fwy. Given a choice between Inglewood and MV to host playoff and SB events or any other bigtime event including Final Four, Allstar, Probowl, NFL and NBA Finals, etc etc, there would be no comparison as to where visiting folks would rather spend their vacation. No brainer for the NFL. Oh wait, NFL HAS no brains.

Too late. We gave MV to SDSU. We're stuck with college football. I can only hope the MLS can partner with them so at least we get a soccer team here.

Yeah the only team we have a shot at getting is an MLS team and we may have already blown that.

If Joe wants it done, he will get it done. I dont know how much of an appetite there is for basketball in brooklyn. MLS is not a problem either. Its whether or not someone wants to fork over 150 mil. SDSU west can easily handle an mls team.

The MLS is still in play but like Lizard said, I don't see Tsai moving the basketball team since the deal includes the arena there.
