Friday's Pitching Matchup:

SD: RHP Jake Peavy (8-13, 4.32 ERA)
The Padres ace has six quality starts in his last eight appearances.

SF: RHP Matt Cain (11-9, 4.11 ERA)
Cain has won three straight decisions, and he didn't allow a run over 7 2/3 innings in his last outing.

Giant Player to watch
Former Padre Steve Finley has been a nightmare for Peavy, hitting three home runs off him, along with posting a .296 lifetime average (8-for-27). (Thats not who I will be watching!)

HEADS UP out-of-towners: Sunday's 5:05pmPST game will be shown LIVE on ESPN! :icon_banana: :icon_toast: :icon_banana:

I dont believe that for one second, BF!

Coming up: David Wells (2-3, 4.58 ERA) makes his second start with the Padres on Saturday when he faces right-hander Jason Schmidt (11-8, 3.39) at 1:05 p.m. PT.

Wells vs. Schmidt-another pitching duel!

Boomer waw the schitt the first time he pitched for the Padres and Schmidt is aways a hard-nosed butthead when he pitches against us!

I am one unhappy camper right now because we could not seize the opportunity given us to get a game up on the Dodgers from their lose to the Mets. :icon_evil:
