Wednesday's Pitching Matchup:

SD: RHP Jake Peavy (8-14, 4.31 ERA)
Peavy allowed just one run in a complete-game effort against the Reds on Sept. 2.

CIN: RHP Kyle Lohse (4-7, 5.35 ERA)
Lohse enjoyed one of his finest outings of the season on Friday when he allowed just one earned run in seven innings against Pittsburgh. He walked one and had six strikeouts. Player to watch
Each appearance by Padres reliever Trevor Hoffman brings him one step closer to history. Hoffman trails all-time leader Lee Smith by just five saves.

I predict a WIN!

I am agreed with you, Ant!

Pitching Matchup:

SD: RHP Clay Hensley (8-11, 3.87 ERA)
Since July 18, Hensley has a 2.43 ERA over 59 1/3 innings, but he has gone just 2-3.

CIN: RHP Aaron Harang (13-10, 3.83 ERA)
Harang allowed four earned runs on eight hits in seven innings in a loss to the Pirates on Saturday. He is winless in his last three starts. Player to watch
Adrian Gonzalez has reached base safely in 21 of his past 23 games. His RBI double in the first inning started the scoring on Wednesday.

I predict a win before lunch. Clay will bring his A game.
They KNOW how mas importante this game is heading out to Smell A.

A win would literally bury the Reds for the season and make it a "Happy Plane" (as they call it) out to the West Coast.
