If Buffalo takes Marshawn Lynch at #12, they are idiots. Dude has as much baggage as Merriweather right now.

One mis-step in the NFL, and Goodell will nail their asses, and chastise the team that takes them.

What did Marshawn do that puts him in Meriweather's baggage bracket? :icon_shrug: Seriously. I don't know.

A couple Titans fans are talking about the player's union frying Goodell over this.

I think they're forgetting that the player's union ASKED the NFL to start taking these guys out to the woodshed. I seriously doubt Pacman and Henry are going to get an NFLPA bailout this time.

Marshawn Lynch Back Out of Hot Water - Tue Jan 30, 2007 at 10:05:33 AM

Here's a positive spin story on him:

Kiel was just a "victim" of a car jacking. Right?

Maybe he'll be a stand up guy in the NFL. But, one incident and people (including the Commish) will be telling whoever drafts him that the signs were on the wall pointing to this guy being a turd.

Pacman is a fuggin' moron. Chris Henry is an idiot. Thurman is just plain stupid.

There are already enough dummies in the NFL. Keeping these guys out for a year can only help the league. By next year, at least 3 more idiots will be suspended for similar actions... making their spots available once again. Provided they work on fixing what's wrong with them.

Now... Ricky Williams being reinstated? Goodell is really gonna have to play his cards right with that decision. But if anyone heard Ricky's interview with Dan Patrick last week, you can clearly hear the guy's a lot more intelligent than what we may have thought. Sounds like he got a handle on whatever was driving him to the weed every night.

But Ricky said that weed did more for his social anxiety problem than any drug could. I think Ricky's ready to come back to the NFL. Whether he'll be productive or not remains to be seen.

Now that Tenn. is short a Corner, I wonder if that will affect their pursuit of Turner.

    Good.

    Pacman is a POS
    Henry is a POS

I hope the rest of the NFL's knuckleheads get the message or else their ability to feed their own assses just went down the porcelain.

Goodell has done well as a henchman so far.

With the first pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select.................................Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas. Oakland is now on the clock!!!

Hey, I can say that. All you can do is laugh when your best player gets suspended (rightfully) for the whole year. But, hey, its just football!!

Good. I have no sympathy for them. Hope they never return and if they find Jones guilty, he should be in prison.

IMO. It's in the contract, so employment law will only affect the issues of hostile work environment, excessive overtime, etc.

This is a performanced based contract, and can be considered an "at will" employment, with penalties for wrongful termination.:icon_shrug:

I guess everyone is supposed to chalk the drive-by shooting up to just wrong place, wrong time. Right? That's what people said about Kiel.

One incident and I think it might be explained away. Two incidents, and it's a pattern with insight into a guys character.

That was obvious. In two years, we'll have a thread on him and his one year suspension.

    He said she said BS.

Where there is smoke there is fire, at least about 95% of the time.

I agree that anyone that drafts Lynch is drafting a problem.

I'm guessing there is some conduct clause in their contract which gives them the ability to suspend for that reason.
