IMO we won the part of the game we needed to, the first half. This is wild ball now and if the lead is lost its not really we still outscored their starters vs our starters.
Definitely. The little bit we saw has me believing that our O and D is even better than last season. Our ST is definitely better.

For the first time in a while, I get the feeling that this is a really complete team.

I agree. But I'm worried about Norv...........Is he still the guy who makes stupid playcalls in the redzone? Or abandons the run when we're only 10pts down? Or fails to adjust to a quick passing scheme when teams are all out blitzing? Or pusses out and kicks a FG when we're 4th and inches on the 20 yard line?

I'm also about 98.45% sure that Gates doesn't play more than 10 or 11 games on and off all season.

I have no idea on Norv, but I think off and on would be good for Gates.

Rest will be good for his foot. And there will be games where we know in advance that we don't need him.

I dont like it, but the reality is that Gates will probably finish his career in pain. Which I want to thank him in advance and say you dont have to break every TE record before you go, you ARE the greatest TE to play.

I actualy had to bring up that TERRIBLE play calling on the 2 minute drive inside the 10 yd line in the KC opener last year tonight when my friend was tryin to say that KC actualy WON that game. We lost that game at least 3 differnt times by my count, not much diff than the 1 or 2 plays vs NE in past Postseason that cost us a W. (4 if you count the pts off turnovers like RMs fumble)

But I digress *im all about using large words tonight* The most glaring loss by any facet of our team that night was that last 2 minute drive to the 10 and piss poor run play calling with piss poor DS and 22. Im glad I wasnt in that enzone for that fail of a stand, tho I did have to walk out to the Chanting of Indians which turned to unessecarily violent comments. Good times.

I agree wholeheartedly. Plantar faciitis is a bitch and he may never really recover from it 100%, at least not while he's playing pro ball. Even so, Gates hurt is still better than the competition. I'm fine with resting him as necessary. I'd rather have him in a position to play later in the season and into the post-season vs. early on. I'd also really like to have solid options with game experience on the roster should this injury take him out completely at some point.
