Good (not great) first half. The scrubs are starting to come unglued on both teams now. The running game was showing signs of life. While Floyd is recovering, they can really get a good look at the guys fighting for the last couple of WR spots on the roster. Rob Ryan had been blitzing a lot which is unusual for a pre-season game...until PR started connecting on the long ball.
Special teams has been solid so far. The D has struggled but Dallas still only has 7 points most of the way into the 3rd quarter.
So far, so good!!

Great sack/strip by Liuget!

Dude just walked through his man and made a nice play.

Is that a Curtis Brinkley sighting? This is a kid worth rooting for :) not sure if there's room on the team this year for him tho...
I've not been impressed at all by Todman, I wouldn't be opposed to keeping Brinkley.

Todman is having a great game. I would love for Brinkley to find a spot on the roster, but it is an uphill battle...

Really? Curious, what about Todman leaves you unimpressed? not being argumentative :) just wondering, 'cause I've liked what he's done... feels like he fills the Sproles role pretty well.
Okay I'm probably spoiled by Sproles, but it seems like Todman has slow feet. And its gonna sound strange, but it doesn't look like Todman "sees the field", he's kinda just jogging forward and hoping to find a space......it looks uncomfortable.

Also he can't break an arm tackle to save his life.

I forgot how many of those arm tackles that Sproles broke last year..
Last year, not many, but the guy is 5'6 180 at best. And at least he used to blast through some of those weaker tackles.
Todman is a bigger guy, he should be able to break a few tackles.

Not a bad game but I am still concerned about run blocking. And while we're talking the run game - Todman in, Brinkley probably not. Todman isn't jitterbug-fast like Sproles but shows good running instincts, squares his shoulders & gets upfield. Summers still dinged? I'd like to see a real FB get some reps.

Martin looked good tonight. He & Liuget both show good motors. A lot of our front 7 took some pretty bad angles on more than a few plays, including Spikes. Oggie could be odd man out this year.

I like that Norv pulled Rivers. We know what we have there. No need to risk his health in a meaningless game. Volek can use the work as can Tolzien.

Always nice to see the Cowboys fail, even in preseason. Texas can please secede now.
