No shit. If we open the season with that dude as the starter - Rivers better be ready to run his ass off or he will get clobbered. :yes:Ride The Lightning said:Thank christ.
Leander Jordan will be the death of our QB's.
Is Jordan the answer at LT? No. But McNeill didn't block ANYONE in the running game. McN also nearly let a scrub 3rd string DE beat him on a speed rush (if it had been KGB the QB would have been splattered).sonorajim said:Just watched Jordan in the GB game agan. He had a better game than I thought. I just watched 1st half offense- Jordan only. He blocked for 22 pass plays (incl penalty no plays) and was OK to pretty good on all except about 6 where he was totally dominant. On the sack, LJ got a hand on KGB but was beaten outside and could only drive him half-wide. Meanwhile, PR took a 6-7 step drop while trying to sell a fake handoff and backed into the sack. Most plays the ball was long gone by the time KGB got there.
Don't take my word for it, watch it again. Slo-mo anything you're not sure of and iso on LJ, no cheating and assuming stuff.
Although that article did have one incorrect thing, stating that Rivers wasn't sacked. :icon_confused:Shamrock said:More on Jordan .....
Left tackle Jordan hopes to get call to protect Rivers - AP (probably Bernie Wilson)
*** Only two hours old ***
What the hell do you expect from Bernie Wilson? He's the dumb bass that said Cro got toasted by VJ at pre-camp, and VJ was at the house. I think Bernie was at the house too. Maybe he had his runner do this story as well......WonderSlug said:Although that article did have one incorrect thing, stating that Rivers wasn't sacked. :icon_confused:
He is worse than what people say. Leander Jordan is no where close to being a starter. I would rather take my chances with the raw rookie I saw in McNeill.Shamrock said:Trumpie -
Take off your "I hate Leander" goggles for a minute and go rewatch the game.

Jordan is the best answer - and NOT nearly as bad as people say - until Oben can get healthy. McNeill looks like a one year project to me.
As sonorajim said, the only time they would get to Rivers is when he would take a 5,6, or 7 step drop and hold the ball a while.eldwin said:Man, the speed at which Rivers releases the ball and the fact that the Chargers use a lot of 3-5 step drops, I think opposing teams would have a tuff time getting to our QB (unless they blow up the middle.)
