SAN DIEGO ---- When spotting Drayton Florence, some see his jersey No. 29.

Teammate Marlon McCree? He eyes Florence and No. 5 comes to mind. "I predict for him to get at least five picks this year,'' said free safety McCree. "I am expecting big things from him.''

Florence was on the grande hot seat last offseason. The Chargers burnt their first-round pick on cornerback Antonio Cromartie, with most assuming he would replace Florence in the lineup.

Instead, Florence continues to run with the ones.

And last year's shoddy secondary is running on a new track. Florence is part of the NFL's top pass defense ---- a unit that's allowing just 102.5 yards per game.
