We had a crappy day yesterday which began with me at the doctor and finding out that I have to have another surgery and quickly. They scheduled it for next Thursday.

Last night, our oldest daughter was at work and she called me and said she was sick and couldn't drive home and for me and her Dad to come get her. She wasn't kidding! By the time we got there, and got her home, she couldn't even stand on her on. We had to call an ambulance to come get her. She was shaking, clammy, pulse was racing, she was crying that her head hurt, her eyes were rolling back in head, she was dizzy really bad and felt like she had to puke. She was blacking out for a few seconds, then just really incoherent. She felt numb in her hands and face and couldn't communicate verbally because she was having trouble breathing. It scared us to pieces. She'll be 18 in a couple of weeks but she's always gonna be my little girl. We spent about 4 hours in the emergency room. She doesn't eat, can't sleep and she's just completely worn down. They did a CT scan and a lot of bloodwork. Her sinuses are a mess and she has fluid built up badly in both ears. She is also dealing with a lot of stress because of an ex boyfriend and hasn't really had a moment's peace in the last 10 weeks. None of us have. It's been absolutely ridiculous and a very bad situation that, now it's pretty clear to us, something that we are going to have to take some drastic measures to stop. Undoubtedly, a combination of all of it just finally got to her. So yall please keep her in your good thoughts and prayers. Looks like it's going to be one heckuva week for our family.

thank u...

Teresa

not here
GL with your surgery, Teresa.... and hoping your daughter recovers from the sinus and ear problems quickly. Looks like you two will be taking it easy, together, for a while.

I'm sorry for your misfortune Teresa, you deserve much better. Our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I know times like these are painful and full of uncertainty but they make you appreciate the things that matter all that much more. I am sure that both you, your daughter and your family will come through this stronger than ever.

We're praying for you here too Teresa. We have three daughters ourselves so I know all about the old ex boyfriend crap.

Just consider yourself blessed that he is not a son-in-law...

We also have your surgery on our prayer list

God Bless You.

Teresa, please tell us that things are getting a little better!
thank yall all so much....Bolt fans are the best and I just hate that I aint closer to Cali but the only way that is gonna happen is if someone picks up San Diego and moves it closer to Athens...dont think it's possible. :icon_wink:

Kayla is still pretty weak but not near as dizzy today. She's had a rough weekend and slept through most of it. (She's defintely her Mama's daughter though...she sat on the couch with me today and watched Philip and the Bolts play!) She also had to fuss at me a few times cause I was hollering and it hurt her ears.

I'm taking her to the ENT specialist first thing in the morning and then she's gonna try to go on to school after that. She don't wanta miss any classes so she can exempt as many of her semester tests as possible. They gave her the weekend off at work and she's not scheduled to go back in till Tuesday but I'm gonna see about having them take her off the schedule this whole week. She's just completely run down. All this stress, plus her being sick, I guess it's just really did a number on her. More than we thought for sure. We're not sure how to handle the "stress" factor of things. I know what I'd like to do but I prefer to stay out of jail. :icon_eek: I'd say maybe she is 25% better than she was Friday night. Defnitely needs stronger antibiotics.

I'm okay. Just another setback with the surgery that I wasn't expecting. I'm upset about it. I'm discouraged about it. But right now, I'm just concentrating on Kayla and getting her well.

Thanks for all yall's good thoughts, messages and prayers. Hugs to all~~~

Well it sounds like she has turned the corner for the good!

She needs to get a restraining order on that guy, and make it with no contact what so ever!

As I read your original post, I was thinkin mebbe adenoids, secondary to mono, 'specially with the bouts of dizziness.

That diagnosis isn't so bad, Darlin...it'll clear up, with time, patience, and love :)
