I do like that he isnt talking about the injuries. This isnt a football thing, so he shouldnt be talking about it due to legal issues that are comming up.

A.J. is all business...no emotion...no wonder he can't understand why the public is thinking anything
Yeah, he seems out of touch with anything but contracts.

AJ has no clue if he cant understand why the public would think what they are thinking.
Because the public is misinformed. He respects the feelings but he is a businessman.

A.J. is GOD.

He has ice water in his veins and a heart of gold as well.

Some of you guys seem to need touchy feeley managers.

This is for men and not the spineless.
I want the guy to be all about business, make no mistake.

Emotion and loyalty is the domain of the fans, we don't need some soft weepy guy for GM.

I just finished listening to AJ......The dude has always had a sense of humor and is careful with his words. I think he is pretty perceptive to the fan pulse and understands the emotional side as well. Very well.

He is the best GM in the league right now. He is GOD.

AJ is the model of the perfect GM. He is totally emotionally detached from the players and can make the hard decisions without letting feelings get in the way.
Yup.

He has what is called professional detachment. I dig this in a manager. They will let you know exactly where you stand.

Concur.

As far as Foley goes, while he didn't deserve to get shot, he did put himself in position to get shot with his illegal, life-threatening behavior.

Somehow, dozens of other players managed to go out on Saturday night, have a good time and make it home without incident. If this had been Foley's only brush with the law, then it could have simply been a "wrong place, wrong time" scenario, but Foley clearly has personal issues that need to be rectified before he can again be counted on to perform as a football player.

I just hope GAWD didn't ruin the clubhouse with throwing Foley into the street with no pay
I dont think it will. But I know two people who are thinking that Donny might be right about the team and their management.

What were his options? Aren't there rules regarding paying players after they sustain non-football related injuries? Can we just choose to pay some players and not pay others?

If anything, this seems to me to be a failure of the NFL CBA. Gene Upshaw, aka Tagliabue's little biatch, shouldn't have sold the players down the river on this matter. It should not be up to the owners to pay players out of the kindness of their hearts. If the players feel this is a serious enough issue, they should have refused to ratify the CBA until this issue had been addressed.

All joking aside.

Like him or hate him, he has put together the best Charger team I can remember. If we get a lombardi, I may just get a AJ tatoo on my arse.

BB....I AGREE with what AJ did here dumping Foley with no pay....that said I have $500 on the Bolts Monday night and I hope GAWD doesn't pick my pocket in his own little way
I thought Foley has his $800,000 bonus still in his checking account,

it was his base salary of 700,000 that was withheld?

I don't blame AJ for this move but I do hope he does not persue the bonus.

Let this one go AJ.
