Great call on Cromartie and McNeill, you said McNeill was our "dream pick", you think the knock on him about not being competative enough is gonna matter or should he be great? Two very boom-bust type picks in my opinion, but honestly, I love it!!! Great moves as far as I'm concerned. What do ya'll think!?!

I think the first pick is a wasted pick.

With the exception of our 3rd pick, I though that we had a pretty good draft. McNeil was a steal IMO. He has a very good chance of developing into a dominat tackle. If anything, he will help immediately in the running game.

Cromartie, is a stud. The only reason he didn't start was because he wasn't a senior. But he apparently played more than anyone in 2003 and 2004. I would give our overall 1st day grade a B+.

Check out what Buddy Nix has to say about our picks.

I nailed Cromartie but to be honest I put my money at players on us grabbing justice
McNeil was a good pick up, i'm very happy with him
Whitehurst was a stunner for me.

Thank you for hte kind words my friend

Also its amusing that my 7th rounder was picked by the Vikings in the second :icon_huh: Tarvaris Jackson
What a bunch of maroons in Minnesota

As you can tell by my tag line, I'm very happy with the first pick... I feel pretty good with the second pick, and the jury is still out on the third pick.

You should have seen the look on Chris Berman's face when he said, Oh the Chargers picked a quarterback.

The Charger's needed a backup, and they got a hell of a backup in whitehurst, i'm very happy with this pick, makes me feel much more comfortable because Rivers could (like any other QB), get injured or just outright struggle, I don't think he will, but this is a hell of a insurance policy! I think Ko Simpson will be our 4th rounder, and if so the Charger's will of covered all the bases! I'm very happy with the draft and this could rival last years picks...as we all know, only time will tell.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, because I totally get it.
I get it, but feel we had stronger needs in the third round. So many "better" guys were passed on.....

Like I said, I like the first two picks alot.

1st round A -:icon_razz: to the person who sent me reps saying Cromartie would be a huge bust. Eat Cro!

2nd round B - filled a need with one of the best available at the time

3rd round C - With so many good guys left in the draft at the time of this pick, I guess I second guess this choice

4th Round: D (I don't know about him but there was a ton of talent still on the board)
5th Round: F (We soooo don't need ILBs)

Am I going to have to convince you GOD selected correct again ?

Isn't Rivers enough now you want to add Cro-mo?

OK ... Bring it.

Cromartie has a lot of upside the guy just hasn't seen a lot of action. Hopefully he will catch on . IT may take him a little longer due to the learning curve but he is a stud other wise.

McNeil is a real boom or bust with his back , hopefully Smith is real sure he will be ok and this is less of a gamble than it appears. He will have to work on his form big time and hopefully Coach Henry will whip him into shape.

I am afraid Oben maybe done.

You might be right. I hope Cro turns into something serviceable. I just cant believe he is going to be paid as the 19th best college player, after starting only one game, playing only 26, and not playing last year.

Some wanabe mensas blow thier own horn about how he is the next chosen one and a shoe in for DROY. Well, they need to put the crack pipe down and slowly back away.:icon_tease:
