I've been wandering through the big four websites (CBS, Fox, CNNSI and ESPN Sports) to see what the talking heads are saying about our game. Ironically they don't see this as a big blow to our team and we're still ranked within hteir top ten. The general assessment is "They showed they could go toe-to-toe with anyone and sometimes there'll just be games like this". This didn't stop some people from criticizing Schotty on play calling but we're not getting the "what a bunch of pretenders" crap I was expecting.

The chargers team is still a good one. And i'm guessing the pundits realize that. What eveyone seems to be commenting on is the coaching of the chargers.

Sure, we have a good team with good players, but we're not giving them the ball.

Now I can't tip me hat and get the dose of "I told you so's" from the lovers of birdshit. :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

If by some miracle they make the playoffs, revenge will be sweet.

Also from Peter King

6. San Diego (2-1). Philip Rivers had a rough day, but so did McNair.
I wouldn't be too concerned about losing a nailbiter to the Ravens in
Baltimore.

we dominated that game for 57 minutes and lost it in the last 3....Martyball strikes again. 20 rushes and 4 passes in the second half...is a bunch ****!

Thats without including coaching I assume.
If you include Marty, we barely make the top 20:no:

The only thing that concerned me about that loss was the coaching.

We'll continue to destroy bad and mediocre teams. We'll win against good teams that score enough to keep Marty from going to Martyball. But I'm sure not going to be comfortable against teams like the Steelers, Broncos, or virtually any team we'll meet in the playoffs.

Look, I'm still excited about this season, but seeing Marty totally choke off this offense was discouraging.

There are plenty of examples where Marty did not let off the gas and we quickly forget these games. Last year as well and the year prior we saw this.

I think fans are just looking for scapegoats.

I remember those games very well, but more often than not, it's against the teams we should beat easily anyways.

Seeing us totally annihilate an opponent one week by never letting off the gas makes seeing us totally set the cruise control that much more frustrating.

I remember the Patriots in their crib, we poured it on and both Colts games we poured it on just off the top of my head..........Those teams were not in the category of easily beatable teams or not in my book.

A late turnover (Donnie INT pitched to your boy IIRC) returned for a TD inflated the score.
