Lewis: Hard work will cure ills

BY MARK CURNUTTE | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER

Marvin Lewis said he talked Monday to Chad Johnson about the wide receiver's harsh words after the loss Sunday at Baltimore.

Lewis also said he and quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese constantly monitor quarterback Carson Palmer's throwing mechanics.

And, Lewis said Monday in his weekly news conference, the only way out of the team's current slump is to adhere to principles of hard work and to improve game preparation, starting with the San Diego Chargers at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday..............

My only fear is that Chris Henry goes off for 200+yds
take this to the bank
the only way Chris Henry will get a ball from Carson Palmer is if palmer's desperate beyond all hope. No way a good QB like Palmer will throw it to some POS WR who won't even try to catch a ball.
They've lost their LT and C, if Willie Anderson is out too, its jailbreak time!
Above all else, cover Houshmanzadah and Chad Johnson!

my worry is they look at the film from the Clev. game and see that we cannot stop the 3 step drop and fire the quick out because our dbs play 15 yards off the line

it was working for the brownies and if they could have sustained the drives inside the 30yrd line, we would have been toast

We need to score fast and often.

I'm always worried about having to go into another teams building and plying them after they just got worked.

That said, if we handle our business, eliminate all those dumbass penatlies (the ones that we really did commit, not all the bullshit ones the retarded refs called) we'll win. Play like we did vs. Cleveland, we lose big.

We will win. We have the momentum going in and I know LT and da boyz will not make the same mistakes again. We all know we should be 8-0 but those two games I think we have learned from. We will leave cincy wid a dub!
