I think recent news has proven, that new stadiums can be built with public assisted funds.
It just that Spanos and his ilk could not do it and blamed the city, the fans, all the time begging the League for help like a huge baby. Hell, Stan could built another Stadium in LA before Deano could get a picnic table.

yeah I think the # was something like every 20 years a new or renovated stadium would have to be built . NFL sucks. They need to build their own effing stadiums with their own effing money they are so wealthy. Instead they choose to hold cities hostage that are struggling with budgets to pay up, and threaten to leave. They can go to hell for what they allowed the deadbeat spanos to do to SD.......go rent where his team isn't even wanted and be a parasite on the rest of the league. Is there any city in the USA where spanos would be welcomed???? He is universally despised from what I can tell.

Zion Johnson from Boston College. Folks thought Dallas would take him at 24
as he was ranked 24th and they drafted at 24.

I watched the Georgia/Alabama game and concluded that if I had a first round pick, I would take anyone of these guys. They were that much better than any other player in college football. I could saved a team millions of dollars in scouting for the draft.

i think half of the picks in the first round were from those 2 schools.

Berberian contends that the Spanos family trust and subtrusts are all but insolvent, that Spanos' decision to move the Chargers to Los Angeles has proved financially ruinous and that the family has no option but to sell the team to satisfy the trust's debt obligations, which she says are currently in excess of $358 million.

The lawsuit also lists multiple allegations of "breaches of fiduciary duty" by Dean Spanos, who is accused of diverting $105 million from the trust to various debts. Spanos also allegedly manipulated the trust to borrow over $60 million "for the wasteful purchase of an airplane for Dean's and Michael's use that has no legitimate business justification."
