sphan says herd immunity is the key to fighting the virus. Germany is opening their economy and expected cases to rise.

we should have the same approach.
Herd immunity...two ways to achieve that, via vaccines, see polio, see measles.
Or you can try Nature's herd immunity. Been done before. Old school approach, is your choice?

The Black Death, also known as the Pestilence and the Plague, was the most fatal pandemic recorded in human history, resulting in the deaths of up to 75–200 million people in Eurasia and North Africa, peaking in Europe from 1347 to 1351.
———
Back before that........the “enemy” allowed Roman soldiers to spread this one back to the homeland.

The vision of Pope Gregory at Castel Sant'Angelo, signifying the end of the plague, became a popular theme of medieval art.

The Roman Plague of 590 was a local plague that affected the city of Rome in the year 590. It followed from the great plague of Justinian that may have killed more than 100 million Europeans that began in the 540s and spread to other parts of the world.

200 million....100 million. Herd immunity. But at least they got to go to some games.

this is my concern school age children. No reason why schools are still shutdown since horizontal transmission is non-existent.

No outbreaks have been recorded at target, walgreens, cvs, and other grocery chains so why cant other businesses open up who follow the same precaautions?

I dont give a fuck about owners of casinos, sports teams or hollywood execs.

but people got to eat, provide shelter for their families and get on their lives.

lastly

like voltaire said.... i may not agree with anything you say, but i will defend your freedoms with my life.

now back to bashing dean for being a cocksucker.

Will the virus re-GERMANate from soccer?

Soccer definition: unamerican football
The Virus is lovin' this....”me not coming back? I ain’t Brady, I be tougher. And you can wipe your ass I'll be back. Watch how you primates scramble around for another solution. Goin to Bring my friend Flu with me. You got a whole shelf of medicines for her. Toss 'em out! You guts are making this too damn easy. But “it is what it is, right?”

1. Yes, this a solution to Spenis Chugger games in SoFi. Unless there is a minimum order.

2. This idea will show soon up with NFL teams. I mean, it's easy money and that's
their wheelhouse.

The FUdeans have been doing that for several years.

Long but excellent article. Deano and Chuggers will be sued, you can bet on that.
The League will probably move them, if possible. Spanni are terrible people.

I hope St. Louis beats the hell out of the NFL and Kroenke for billions in that lawsuit. They deserve it. SD was too stupid to sue.

oh and fuck jerry jones. he is the one pushing for 2 teams in la.
Jerry Jones didn't just want 2 teams in LA. According to this and other articles, he specifically wanted the Rams and the Chargers there. Not the Raiders, not just any two teams. The question is why did he want the Chargers -specifically- to go to LA so bad? Why was he not satisfied with maneuvering his buddy, Kroenke, to be in LA alone?
I can think of several scenarios that answer these questions, but they all hinge on Dean's idiocy and the obvious elephant in the room, which is the fact that Dean Spanos is totally out of his depth among the sharks he is forced to swim with! While his dad was alive, older owners like Richardson felt like they had to protect him, and prevent the other big fish from taking bites; but now that his dad, Richardson, and many of the other old guard are dead or gone, all Dean needs is a small nose bleed for the smell of blood to fill the pool!
"What if" Jones had promised the entire Southern California market to Kroenke? He wouldn't be able to deliver on that IF the Chargers were still in SD! So for Kroenke to have the ENTIRE SoCal market, Dean would have to move the Chargers out of San Diego, burn all bridges to make a return impossible, move to LA and fail so miserably that they're run out of town, and sent to some OKC or SA....or anywhere but back to SD! How else could Kroenke get the Chargers out of the SoCal market? First, they made sure they blocked the only other entity that could usurp the Rams hold on the market (Raiders), while they lured Deano with such a sweetheart deal that, that Spanos, in his butthurt state after the vote had gone against him, couldn't pass up!
So now we have situation, not unlike the Seinfeld episode where George lies about his house in The Hamptons and ends up driving his Susan's parents all the way to the ocean to prove a point! Kroenke and Jones know that Dean is a broke ass, trust fund baby who has no business even renting a house in "The Hamptons"; yet they're letting Deano drive them to a place that everyone knows doesn't exist...a world where two teams can play for free in a stadium, wholly owned by one of them!

Maybe Jones thought Dean would STFU if they gave him LA. Stop whining about being the poor owner, downtrodden by the rich owners?

While I enjoyed HOF’s assessment I think Conc is more on the mark. The plan all along was to put two teams in LA, Jones stood to make big bucks off of having a game there each week. If Dean would’ve stayed in SD and built a stadium the league was poised to allow the Raiders in, which they would have done. Vegas was always in Davis’s hip pocket but LA is where their fan base was. From Kroenke’s POV, I think he was ok with being the sole team there, he certainly didn’t need or want a second team but conceded that so they’d allow him to (illegally) break his contract with St. Louis.

The points made about protecting Deano like he was a stupid younger brother is true, and I’m sure they regret doing that now. He is pretty much screwing the pooch in the LA scenario. The spectacle would be much bigger and better with the Raiders in the mix.

So do you think these two teams, or these two owners can coexist under the current toxic business arrangement?

Dean had better hoped for continued prosperity and increased revenue for the entire league and in particular for Kroenke...because at the first sign of economic hardship, Kroenke is coming after the only guy that's within choking distance...somebody not named Jerry Jones!...AND LOOK!...Aren't we in the middle of a pandemic with possible longterm economic ramifications?... Didn't Kroenke just ask for and receive $500M from the league to help pay for cost over-runs on the stadium?...Wasn't that to cover the same $400M that Spanos never came up with?...That's $15.6M that each owner has to pay for having Dean and his doofus sons parade around LA....President of Football Operations? what a joke!!..How long do you think Kroenke -and the league- are going to allow these jokers to carry on in LA, contributing nothing and taking a healthy share of a pie that now has a chunk of it already taken out by this virus??

IMO, the last glimmer hope for the Chargers in LA vanished when Tom Brady signed with TB...Now, it is just a matter of time before it all catches up with these idiots...all the years of ineptitude, all the years of lying to their fans, all the years of entitled behavior, all the years of living off the coattails of other's hard work....My guess is that the Spanos family will not own the Chargers FIVE YEARS from now!

More think about it.
They knew the Rams were moving. They knew the Raiders were moving. That right there is over 100 million split 32 ways. Now, if they could let/force Dean to move (nut up or shut up), that makes it 165 million split 32 ways... That makes what just shot of 52k that Jones pockets?

If the article is true, and Dean said "I don't want to move" then it shows that he was just trying to strong arm SD all along.

Not sure where I said that. Does anyone think they will coexist? Dean being one of the poorest owners, and taking every shortcut he can, leaving Kronke to pay all the bills?

Dean had better hoped for continued prosperity and increased revenue for the entire league and in particular for Kroenke...because at the first sign of economic hardship, Kroenke is coming after the only guy that's within choking distance...somebody not named Jerry Jones!...AND LOOK!...Aren't we in the middle of a pandemic with possible longterm economic ramifications?... I am not sure if the 500m was to cover 400m from Dean. It makes sense. The plan all along was for Kronke to foot most of the bill, where the NFL flubbed up was not treating this stadium deal like all the others. They figured Kronkmeister had it covered so did not force Dean (contractually) to cover his end of the bargan. So in typical Spanos fashion, he didn't.

I would love it if the Spanos were forced out. They have made poor decisions as far back as Ross/Means.

They made poor decisions going back to 1985 when they elevated Al Saunders to Assistant Head Coach with the intent to oust Coryell. The only good decisions they made was Bringing in Beathard, who hired Ross, and bringing in Butler, who hired Schottenheimer. Those two hires yielded championship caliber teams but of course Deano screwed the pooch both times in the same fashion. Idiot!
