Jerrah is an incompetent owner just like Deano. He’s a little more successful because he can throw more money around, but inevitably the Cowboys always choke. They will never win anything as long as Jerrah is in charge.
yup, he thinks he knows more than any HC, even couldn't give Jimmy Johnson all the credit he deserved because he thought he deserved it all, so JJ quit. LOL. At least HE had one winner coach and let that one coach get him his rings and build a champion. But he got what he deserved when he just couldn't help himself and had to go on another ego trip with is what defines him as a person. dean spanos is different in the sense that he never made a dime in his life on his own and was handed everything and STILL thinks he and his sons need total control over everything and will not stand for a HC who makes the calls re: GM, personnel, etc. So he unlike Jones has NEVER won and never will. Jones never will again either because he can't change. But spanos is just as much an egomaniac,,,,the difference is spanos has the smallest dick in the league and goes around like he's Johnny Wad :roflmao:  What a putz. Pay your rent you POS.

Jerry Jones ended up being right. The Cowboys did win a championship with whomever at coach. Jimmy never won one with the Fish.

You're right, he did win ONE with Barry Switzer after he drove Jimmy out of Dallas....One could argue that was still Jimmy Johnson's team in 95...but Jerry Jones sure made his point, with that ONE championship!!...What about every OTHER year after that??...Jerry -and his doofus son- have NOT been able to compete in the salary cap era, making bonehead move after another, and never winning another playoff game.
IMO, it wasn't even the Johnson debacle that cements Jerry Jones' position as the biggest bonehead owner in the league....It is the fact that from 2003 to 2006 he had Sean Payton on his coaching staff, and allowed that one to walk in favor of guys like Garrett or Phillips!

BTW....Did you know Sean Payton got his start in coaching at SDSU in 1988?

That team was running itself, Switzer had nothing to do with running the team. Even with that team they had, Pittsburgh nearly beat them in the Super Bowl except Neil O’Donnell was a shitty QB.

LOL at Barry Switzer. He proved he was a loser after that.....he and Jones took what JJ built and drove it into the ditch in short order. Jerry Jones is a loser. He could have built a dynasty if he'd kept his own ego out of it and retained JJ and let him work and give him the credit he deserved. But no, Jerry Effing Jones had to be the big dick on the porno stage....so he ended up effing himself in the ass :roflmao: :D And he's still doing it to this day, he got stuck and couldn't pull it out:eek::roflmao::D

That's like saying Malcom Glazer is a great owner after he fired Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden is a great coach after taking everything Dungy built and won a Lombardi ONCE. Yup the Leprachaun is a great owner all right. Tell me again what Dungy did after that? Teams were BEGGING Jimmy Johnson to come be a head coach and going to him for advice for years. Barry Switzer? Not so much. LOL. And Jerry Jones as per usual made an ass of himself. The NFL Owners' Club is FILLED with egos who just can't help themselves. We know all about that with the 2 guys after Baron Hilton in SD.....Decades upon Decades of incompetent meddling owners who think they and their families know more about football and players than anyone else including their GM's and HC's. Gene Klein was dumber than any of his many horses he valued more than his football team. And Spanos? His record and his actions over the years speak for themselves and put him right at the top of the heap of all time dumbest worthless owners.

I did not know that about Sean Payton and the Aztecs. Cool info.

As far as the Cowboys only winning one championship since Jerry's breakup with Jimmy, most teams, including Jimmy's Dolphins, have won zero championships since that time. I am glad the Cowboys are no longer a dynasty. The one or two they have had is already too many. F them and the carousel horse they rode in on.

Yes. That was Jerry's point. The coach had nothing to done with running that team. That team was loaded.

Jimmy built that team with one trade. He didn't have the same luck with the Fish.

No. What I said was like saying Jerry was right when he drunkenly said his team could win a championship no matter who coached it. He was right. That is all I am saying.
Is Jerry a great owner? It depends how you define great. If your definition of great is making loads of money for himself, then he is great. If your definition is making a large contribution to ruining the NFL for me, he is truly great. In my opinion, he is an asshole.

Jimmy had taken several years off and was stuck with an aging Marino. He should’ve stayed retired. That said, it didn’t diminish his extraordinary accomplishments in Dallas. Jerrah has nothing to do with building that dynasty other than provide the cash.

Well to use your phraseology.......any drunken coach could have taken that same team that JJ built and coached to Lombardis, and won the following year. ANY stupid ass coach could have won with that team the way it was structured and coached by JJ. To prove a point to you......guess who for years took credit for the offense JJ built , and falsely? NORB! EFFING NORB!!!. It was JJ who gained all that notoriety for norb and all the years after that look what the dunce norb accomplished. Absolutely ZIP. He was a very average OC IMO......and obviously an even worse HC. Sure JJ built that team in large part on that huge trade with the Vikings. But he also put together a whole lot of other parts and he had to COACH them to be champions, make sure the chemistry was there.

BTW that little clip was after they beat the Niners 30-20 at Candlestick Park to advance to the SB. I loved Dallas for doing that to the team I hated then and still hate today. But now that Jerrah is such an a hole I've disowned the Cowboys and they've sucked anyway for years thanks to that stupid owner. Their place as far as Niner beaters was taken over thankfully by the Seahawks who are now one of my favorites along with the Chiefs for what they've done to the Niners. Now if it ever came down to Cowboys vs. spanos....I'd have to root for the Cowboys, but only after disinfecting myself before and after LOL.

he’s laughing at you all the way to the bank with the most valuable franchise in the league.
