Yeah, the love is faltering...

The Bears remain in the top spot for the fourth straight week, however, the Colts closed the gap, picking up first-place votes from three of our seven voters. Rounding out the top five are the Broncos, Patriots and Saints, who all moved up. The Giants are just outside the top five, moving up five spots from No. 11 to No. 6 following their impressive win over the Cowboys.
The Seahawks took one of the biggest drops of the week, falling six places to No. 11, although their fall probably won't be far enough to please Vikings fans, whose team checks in at No. 12 despite convincingly beating the Seahawks this weekend. A win Monday against the Patriots and we're betting the Vikings will be firmly in the top 10.

Not surprisingly, there's a new team at the other end of the rankings. The Cardinals fall all the way to the bottom. When you lose to a winless team that had been defeated by an average of 15.2 points in its first five games, the basement is where you belong.

Anyway, on to the rankings. You can rank the teams yourself with SportsNation's NFL Power Rankings.

Chargers 8 (3) 4-2-0 Tough Sunday for the Chargers, who lost a game to the Chiefs, their best defensive player (Shawne Merriman) to a steroids suspension and another solid defender (Shaun Phillips) to a calf injury.

That's what happens when you can't close the deal.

There is still time to right the ship.

They need to finish some close games before anyone will talk about us being a serious contender again.:(

I hated it when some people had us ranked first; we didn't deserve it.

8th is about right. We can't win close games, and our interior OL is total crap, among the worst in the league.

There were a few times where Rivers was enveloped and I wondered how he was still standing....it was like they all ran right by him.....
