Pitching Matchup:

SD: RHP Woody Williams (2-3, 4.98 ERA)
Williams went at least six innings in five of six August starts, posting a 3-3 record and a 4.12 ERA.

COL: RHP Josh Fogg (9-9, 5.36 ERA)
Fogg is coming off his worst outing of the season, allowing eight runs in 1 1/3 innings against the Mets. Player to watch
Leadoff man Dave Roberts continues to come up big when the Padres need him, getting one of the RBIs in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Reds. That RBI in the third inning gave him one RBI in each of his last four games heading into Monday. He's also hitting .369 with runners in scoring position on the season and is carrying a seven-game hitting streak.

Cla Meredith now owns the Padres scoreless inning streak record. Broke it with the first two outs he recorded, and raised it to 29 (and counting) by the end of the game.
