true but frankly AJ has gotten much better over the last few years in signing draft picksthejdog said:I try not to get too excited about draft signings because 50% of the time they are busts but indeed FANTASTIC news.
Cromartie's contract for being the #19 pick is about half what Michael Huff got at the #7 spot.Trumpet_Man said:Chargers | Cromartie agrees to terms

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the San Diego Chargers have reached an agreement with first-round draft pick CB Antonio Cromartie on a five-year, $12.75 million deal that includes $7.35 million in guarantees. There also are another $2 million in escalators. His deal represents a 13 percent increase over what last year's 19th overall selection, OT Alex Barron, got from the St. Louis Rams.
Not too shabby since he was after a reported ~ 4-6%.
Yeah, this is about as close to having them all signed "on time" as I've seen in a while. And with a new CBA extension and much higher salary cap to complicate matters too!BigJim said:I saw the news reports earlier. This is really good news. When was the last time we had all our rookies signed so early? Probably back in the Bobby Beathard days when we never had to sign a first round pick.
