Looks like this might be UM's year to beat OSU.....up 28-13 in the 3rd. This is surprising the experts who had the odds OSU -7.

UM wins big....outplayed OSU and Haskins ran for 5 TD's and OSU could do nothing to stop him. UM O line won at the LOS. And that Adain Hutchinson had a few sacks and is projected as #1 draft pick. Finally Harbaugh gets them over the hump with good chance to be in the championship series. But SEC will once again dominate if history is of any indicator......Big 10(12) has almost never beaten the SEC for the national championship. Doubt that changes this year either.

hell of a game between Auburn and AL.......wow 4 OT's and Bama won it. That 2 point conversion stuff is kinda weird though after they go past 2 OT's......didn't really think it was fair ....they should just keep having to match scores until one drops out. Too much riding on one 2 point play to make a decision like that after both teams were so even in the regular session. Ah well.....wth. Tide rolls again. Nick Saban bugs me.

sdsu beat sjsu the same way. It was weird but it’s the right move. Too many kids were getting hurt the longer they played.

2 things:

jom gruden money so move was no brainer.

easier to win a nc at LSU than ND.
True. But ND has won the National Title 13 times to LSU 4 Titles.
Or 545 million more times than the Chuggers.
Green Bay is called Title Town.
Chuggers are call Blank Page Town.
(Neither San Diego nor Los Angeles would allow us
to use their names.)

Harry, I admire your artistry, the ability to effortlessly segue everything into Chuggers hate. Bravo, sir, well done!

They need to recruit and develop a real d1 quarterback. It was painful to watch.
Someone brought that up earlier, they never seem to end up with a great QB. Who was the best ever? Brian Sipe? BYU and Utah have turned out damn good QBs in the past. But its like drafting a qb in the fifth round in the nfl. The top recruits will not come here until SDSU is on the map offenively in the air game. Weve had great rb’s but seems only Coryell, could develop,a great air game. I would not count on Hoke , there is a reason UM canned him after seeing him flounder. Now look at them under Harbaugh. They are going to the champioshp tourney, First big 10 championship in decades.finding a top notch coach should be the first priority and then they might have a shot at a great qb.

BYU and Utah have always risen above the mediocre level of MWC and WAC football. Those programs seem to compete well with teams from bigger conferences, BYU shared a national championship one year in the 80s. SDSU football has never been able to compete with that class, the basketball program couldn’t either until they got Steve Fisher in here. The football program settles for the like of Hoke, Al Luginbill, Chuck Long, and that’s why they get the mediocre players they have. Every once in awhile they’ll get a QB like Todd Santos, Jesse Freitas, etc that rack up yards but never make it in the NFL. Coupled with the loser attitude of letting Hoke slide in the back door (I blame Rocky Long, he used his clout to get that loser back into the fold) and then the inexplicable decision to name him head coach (there was no search for a new head coach, they just named Hoke the replacement for Long) after he stabbed the school in the back shows the mentality of where the school is operating at - in the realm of mediocrity. That writer Jason Whitlock was pushing the idea of Oklahoma being the perfect place for Brady Choke and now that idea is surely torpedoed after the shitshow yesterday.

yeah too bad we didn't get Hoke outa here to Oklahoma....but SDSU athletics is second rate....no coach worth their salt is gonna want to come here unfortunately. Just not gonna happen. Jeff Fisher was the exception to the rule...not sure what his motivation was, maybe family here????? don't know. SDSU is stuck in neutral. Had a nice run to 10-1 then a major crushing defeat to Utah showed the true Hoke/Aztecs. The minor league stadium should serve as a reminder of the small town mentality of SD to everyone who drives by it and remembers the Q there. What might have been was squashed mostly by spenis but with a large amount of help from SDSU and the incompetent corrupt city. WTH. This 10-1 mirage was just history repeating itself with SDSU football. Never trust the record of Hoke. A choke job is always just around the corner.

When the Aztecs hired Steve Fisher he just came off of a recruiting scandal with Michigan. So he was sort of persona non grata at the time. Now he has the court at Viejas Arena named after him. Not sure who could elevate the football program.

good point. Yeah not sure what college coach would want to come here and take them up a level........it would probably have to be the same type deal , someone getting canned for recruiting violations and needing a hand up. But those are usually short term. Fisher was nearing the end of his illustrious career anyway. Dutcher has learned well it seems. But that's basketball. SDSU has done well there. I am not familiar enough with the coaching carousel in college to even guess who might end up here to get rid of Hoke. I wonder how long Hoke's contract is? He would have quickly gone to Oklahoma knowing that guy, but now he's revealed for the loser he is.

Yeah, I was really hoping the Hoke rumor is true just to get rid of the backstabber but it was not meant to be, he sank back to his mediocre level.

The new Aztecs stadium will be called Snapdragon Stadium. Snapdragon is a Qualcomm product or subsidiary or something like that.
