I know Mahomes will be good again. But losing two of his top weapons will hurt.
Bold are the games I think they could lose.

I can see that as well. Especially without Hill.

Drafting Patrick Mahomes: How the Chiefs outmaneuvered the NFL

http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2019/s...-patrick-mahomes-how-chiefs-outmaneuvered-nfl

"The timing was right in more ways than one for the Chiefs to draft a quarterback in the first round for the first time in 34 years. They had a veteran quarterback in Alex Smith, but some in the organization thought the Chiefs had gone as far as they could with him."

"Smith led the Chiefs to the 2016 AFC West championship, their first in six years, but hadn't been able to get Kansas City past the divisional round of the playoffs in his four seasons as the starter. At the time of the 2017 draft, Smith was a couple of weeks short of his 33rd birthday."

"If the NFL were to do the 2017 draft over, Mahomes would be the No. 1 overall pick. In his first season as a starter in 2018, Mahomes became the second quarterback in league history to throw for 50 touchdowns and more than 5,000 yards. The Chiefs advanced to the AFC Championship Game for the first time in 25 years, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion New England Patriots."

Ask and ye shall receive . Frank Clark to the Chiefs!!!! GO CHIEFS! FUDEAN
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/26587040/sources-clark-dealt-chiefs-1055m-deal
Heard this rumor before that Clark would/might go an “AFC contender”.....I thought maybe the Dolts will make a move here....be a good idea....great for the Chiefs. Plus, last year of Bosa getting low pay.
If they use the fifth year option, he's gone. Or if he wants big money, he's gone.

Frank Clark
His 33 sacks since 2016 rank ninth in the league, and his 2,045 defensive snaps in that span are fewer than the eight players ahead of him, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Of the 21 players with at least 25 sacks since 2016, Clark's average of a sack every 63.9 snaps ranks seventh.

Frank Clark. Great coverage, tackling, sacking, very fast. Score another hit for the Chiefs.

(Audio music can be turned low).

Wow! Fourteen 2018 sacks, just like that!!

Proven, and only 25 years old!

Swish!!
yup, the guy's best year was last year....he really came on for the 'Hawks and is going to really help the Chiefs. Chiefs lost some good players so they made a great trade. Gave up their first round pick which was a LOW first rounder for this guy which is huge.....no way they score a guy in the draft as good as this guy where they were picking. Hope he sacks Rivers a whole bunch LOLZ.

The Chiefs lost the AFC Championship game to the eventual SB champs, Patriot*s , by a whisker. Their D was an enigma throughout the season, as they were able to lead the league with 52 sacks , yet rank last -or very close to it- in total Defense. Their D was noticeably better at home, and at times, atrocious on the road. They were the most penalized team in the league (147) -both on Offense (70) and Defense (59)!- They led the league in Defensive Holding and were 2nd to NO in D. Pass Interference.
So what they did was nothing short of a complete overhaul of the D.....Spagnuolo is the key addition in my opinion. He has proven to be a terrible HC, but when he's had the players, he's shown to know how to scheme up a D. He'll have some interesting toys to play with...Chris Jones (15.5 sacks) will be 25 years old next year, as will Frank Clark!
Alex Okafor, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Jerremiah Attaochu ;) were also added to offset the loss of Justin Houston and Dee Ford. I think they will continue to terrorize the opposing QB's, especially at home where it can get deafening. The addition of Bashaud Breeland and Tyrann Mathieu to the back end should help as well, but the Chiefs desperately need help at LB and I expect them to add a few through the draft. The Chiefs D will be considerably younger, faster, and likely to have better results next year. I happen to think they were the best team in the NFL last year, and should have faced NO in the SB, but in this league you have to handicap for the fix!

Glad you mentioned the key change......Spagnulo. He will be going to a 4-3 scheme (although we know that is merely the base in today's defenses so in and of itself is not a definitive). Hopefully the biggest effect will be on changing the overall defensive philosophy and create a better back end of the defense so more turnovers and less time on the field will result. If they can get a dominating D they are probably the team to beat in the AFC. Imagine that offense and Mahomes having increased time of possession and # of offensive series in each game because the D dominates. GO CHIEFS! GO 31 NFL TEAMS!!! FUDEAN.:D:p
