Daniel Tucker, Chairman of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation; Dan Shea, owner of Donovan’s Steak & Chop House; and Ed Trimble, President & Chief Operating Officer of KFMB Stations, and have guaranteed the purchase of enough tickets to lift the television blackout on Sunday’s game between the Chargers and Tennessee Titans. General seats, including nearly 400 Club seats, remain on sale.

The game will be televised live on KFMB, Channel 8 in San Diego, and KCBS, Channel 2 in Los Angeles. This weekend marks the second straight week that all 16 NFL games were televised live in their local markets and the first time in NFL history to have back-to-back sold-out weekends to open a season.

The tickets will be donated to the police, fire and sheriff departments of San Diego in support of the outstanding service they provide to the community.

Outta alla those on the injury list, I think the biggest hurt is Robaire Smith...I thot he was a powerful DL with the Texans when he was in Houston.

Why does Travis Henry pose any threat to the Charger defense anyway, i think hes one of the easiest backs we'll face all year.

Hes not quick to the outside which makes him EXTREMLY one dimentional against a speed D like ours. Just stuff the middle with Jamal all day and he may end up in negative yards. Same with Brown and White.

RT Bell, RB Henry wait-and-see for San Diego

Associated Press
National Football League News Wire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Three starters and one key backup
remained idle Friday when the Tennessee Titans practiced for their
game Sunday at the San Diego Chargers.

Starting right tackle Jacob Bell, defensive tackle Robaire Smith
and fullback Ahmard Hall, and backup running back Travis Henry
didn't practice for the third consecutive day. Coach Jeff Fisher
said each will be a game-time decision.

Bell and Henry are suffering from toe injuries, while Hall is
nursing an ankle sprain. All three spent Friday's practice in
walking boots. Smith has a hamstring problem.

Henry, who split time with Chris Brown last week, scored two
touchdowns in Tennessee's season-opening 23-16 loss to the New York Jets. If he can't play, rookie LenDale White, who was inactive last week, would split the carries with Brown.

A bigger concern could be the status of Bell and Smith. If Bell
cannot go, second-year man David Stewart, who has yet to play in an
NFL game, would take his place.

He'd be going against a Chargers defense that had nine sacks --
three by outside linebacker Shawne Merriman -- in a season-opening
shutout of the Oakland Raiders.

The Titans brought Smith brought back before the season opener
to bolster the run defense. If he doesn't play, Randy Starks, who
started last season, would take his place.
