Ha ha....OUTSTANDING....Captaind with another great thread added for haters. THIS GETS STICKIED!!!!!!!! I LOVE hating. lololololololol......Chargering is so entertaining .......I love to just wait and sit back every year....listen to the hype and the fudeans bragging and boasting and going to team dinners at ulta expensive high end restaurants in Newport Coast......and then the inevitable crash and burn happens. Chargering Can Be Fun......Catch it!!!!!! Thanks for the awesome thread Captain  :D

Just an idea......lets' reserve this thread for anything that happens that can be considered 'chargering'.....so just list em as they go. (I'm sure there will be overlap with the other hater thread and even the NFL thread but it's ok....the more the merrier!!! ;)

for now mine in this post is Bozo throwing his helmet and having words with the officials and drawing a critical penalty that lost the game.....handing a 2 point conversion to the Jags lmfao. Pederson took the gamble and had Lawrence dive for the 2 pointer........no D , Chargering. That allowed them to get within a 3 point margin to win it by 1 with the FG. Perderson KNEW they could force herbert 3 and out and then march down the field AGAIN on that pitiful D Staley has. SOOOOO CHARGER......CHARGERING!!!!!!! Oh and that 4th and 1? and the RB goes around end for a long gain with no one covering to get in FG range? CHARGERING. :roflmao:  :D

Gene Klein......refusing to sign key MFP all pro players....JJ, Fred Dean, Gary Johnson....... and causing the team to just fall short of a Lombardi...

Nice list......2 standout to me........the 27-0 collapse in the 2nd hald losing 31-30 in front of the world....and Norv lol.......Fucking Norv for a decade. Only the Chugs. lmao....meanwhile during his tenure Pete Carroll and other luminaries became available......I think Harbaugh too. But cheapass dean was never gonna eat the contract of coaches like norb, mccoy, lynn, etc etc. Chargering!

Hiring Dan Henning instead of Marty Schottenheimer

Firing a team building 14-2 coach instead of the idiot polarizing GM

Alex Spanos being allowed to buy the team.

I put in 44 years with a brief hiatus after the move to LA. I don't live there but I did not approve. But I got talked into supporting them again.

But now it's apparent everything Marty did to rid the place of the loser mentality has been reversed. Marty deserves to be in the HOF just because of his ability to turn around losing cultures. It's more difficult than winning a Super Bowl, IMO.

Honestly doubt they win more than 2 games next year. Losing will become a self-fulfilling prophecy like before Marty showed up. They'll find a way to lose every game.

And Chargering is now part of the national vernacular. It's a punchline. Rich Eisen was just laughing at us last week. Why waste my time anymore? Lucy will always pull away the football. It's never going to happen. Ever.

My wife is a Chiefs fan, I don't know if I can do the Chiefs or not. Before I picked the Chargers back in '79, I was also a fan of Joe Ferguson. So maybe the Bills? I dunno. I got a whole offseason to figure it out. I'm still watching football, but the Chargers are in the rear view mirror.

I find it difficult to root for a team exclusively, but I was born and raised in San Diego, as well as lived here all my life so there’s that. So basically it’s whoever is playing the Chuggers are my favorite team, the other 30 teams are tied for second.

this. Although I don’t live there anymore so it was a little easier to divorce myself from the FUdeans, the SD Bolts like the Padres are in my dna.
That said, if FUdean sold, they move, I “might” take an interest

What about if SD ever got an expansion team ? Or some other team relocated there? Not likely but ya never know. Thats why the city council is so fucked up. They let the a hole out of the lease and at the same time failed to lock up the logo/name/colors. City is going all communist wants to ban natural gas stoves and appliances. Those morons on the council probably hate pro football, and probably want to model themselves after the city of SF:rolleyes:

I would likely support a new team. If only to root for a total beat down of the FUdeans

I have real mixed feelings about this. I take civic pride in having San Diego compete and hopefully win a championship, but these years without using the rose colored lenses I used to have clearly have shown me what a corrupt sports entity the NFL truly is. I know that it is likely this is present in all pro sports so long as gambling interests are there controlling the narrative, but the NFL isn’t even hiding it anymore and it’s embarrassing to see hardcore NFL fans treat these games as legit.

Yeah same....it's hard not to look at the game that way now, and especially we've been able to step back and see it objectively after the machinations the league went thru to take teams away from 3 great cities in one year. And it would never be the same if the NFL returned.....not at all like the days we cherished when AirCoryell was thrilling the city and tailgates were so fun at The Murph/The Q......the rules are all different...the games are now mostly for the corporate elites and those who can afford huge prices for tickets.....all anyone has to do is see what happened to the old Niner faithful from Kezar/Candlestick....that team and the NFL had no problem abadoning a huge chunk of that fanbase and going to Santa Clara where Silicon Valley fat cats could afford the tickets and to help build the stadium. And so they will do the same to Buffalo at some point.

It's hard to root for rich bastards like Jerrah, Kraft, Kroenke...and the worst of em all spenis. These are all greedy selfish individuals who always act like they are for the little guy and the downtrodden, but are experts at pandering , and anyone with an objective lens sees it for what it is.....

I guess you have to try to separate out just the athletes demonstrating some pretty impressive skills and the competitioin on the field from all that other stuff to continue watching. But at the same time keep perspective.....things like understanding the zebras can throw a game either way and gambling has now become a huge influence so without doubt revenue from gambling /tv plays a role in how those greedy bastard unethical owners and the commissioner will try to tilt the results in the direction of their own pocket books.

Yeah, a part of me keeps watching, although it’s definitely not must-see anymore. Probably more out of old habits dying hard. I do enjoy watching the Chuggers lose, especially when they add to their Chargering lore like Jacksonville.
