It wasn’t even first bidder, he allowed Spanos to buy a minority stake in 83, and part of that deal was Spanos had rights to first refusal. Spanos originally wanted the Niners so it was a no brainer he’d jump in the first refusal to buy the Chargers.

Klein was a real piece of shite owner himself.

Hey Ray, the numbers you posted are actually not that bad!

They're averaging the same or better than most small market teams in term of viewers, except for the fact that they play in a big city market.
Their viewership is in line with DET, which has 1.78M market size. (LA 5.3M)

The Rams, Jets, and Giants also have lower average ratings due to their huge market size.
BTW....IMO, if a city is hosting two teams, then the market size should be cut in half when figuring out ratings.

My question is, how many sets of local eye balls were on them when they were in SD?
They basically have the same number of eyeballs watching in LA as they did when they were here.

So far, this has been a $650M+ blunder.

We need to know the numbers for all of So Cal over the last five or six years and compare that to the national trend.

Depends on the Week
This team has had crap ownership ever since Barron Hilton sold to Klein...of course, had the team remained in the family they might now be owned (at least partially) by Paris Hilton...

Yup. No difference.

They are going to bleed cash the next ten years just to prove a point that they didn’t fuck up.
