NFL | Poston suspended indefinitely
Wed, 26 Jul 2006 20:11:52 -0700

John Clayton, of, reports the NFL Players Association notified the NFL that agent Carl Poston has been suspended indefinitely. The NFL informed all 32 teams in a memo that Poston can't be involved in negotiations for any player, nor can he be an adviser on any deals. The term of the suspension was "until further notice." It was unclear why the union termed the suspension "until further notice" when the original length was two years.

Maybe Poston's appealing the suspension.

Which Chargers who have contracts expiring at the end of this season, have the Postons as their agents?

NFL | Two more agents join Hollywood agency
Thu, 27 Jul 2006 23:10:06 -0700

Tim McLaughlin, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports sports agents Jim Steiner and Ben Dogra have joined Hollywood talent powerhouse Creative Artists Agency, which is building a client list that's the cream of professional football. The agency wants to capitalize on the melding worlds of sports and entertainment. The agency's football client list now includes Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning, San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson, QB Marc Bulger of the St. Louis Rams and rookie QB Matt Leinart, who was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this year. Creative Artists is best known for representing top Hollywood talent such as actor Tom Cruise and filmmaker Steven Spielberg. Steiner and Dogra have been together since 1993 and they've assembled a roster of nearly 60 NFL players. Since 2000, Steiner and Dogra have run the football division at SFX Sports Group. By going with Creative Artists, Steiner said his clients will have better access to marketing opportunities off the field. They are also joining forces with agent Tom Condon and agent Ken Kremer, who a few months ago defected to Creative Artists from International Management Group.
