when you have a bye week after going 2-0. does it help you prepare more for your next opponent or does it stop the momentum??

Early byes suck ass because it breaks momentum........game planning only takes a few days so an extra week to game plan is useless

Nah, our team will be fine. The bye would be great in week 7, 8 or 9, but ya play the teams they put in fornt of you when they put them in fornt of you.

it depends on who you play before the bye week also.

We've played Oakland and Tennessee and won both and gained momentum. i would rather have the bye after the steelers game so then we've played Baltimore while we've still got momentum in our favour or am i lokking into this subject to much:icon_shrug:

Nah, take the lemons and make lemonaid. We get a full extra week to prepare for the BEST D we will face this season. That is a big plus for our bolts. Of all teams we face this season, it is Baltimore that provides the biggest challenge to our offensive line and QB.

Pittsburgh's pass rush isnt the same as it used to be and Palo, is nicked up. But Baltimore is moving with seed and putting pressure on the opposing QB.

:football:The extra time to prep for them is a bonus right now. :icon_beerbang:

:icon_toast:Lemonade anyone?!:icon_toast:

a week 3 bye actually helps this team in that it gives newly aquired Billy Vollek ample time to learn the playbook, it will mean that Shawne's nose will be healed up, Igor will be healed and rested (both those players will need to be 100% for Balt.) and gives the coaching staff an extra look at the team we are about to face, the Ravens - our biggest challenge thus far.

Rivers will also benefit from extra time to prepare for a mean pass rush and playmaking secondary (Suggs, Lewis, McAllister, Reed)

YUP! Plus, I've heard both Tomlinson and Rivers state they could use this bye week to get healthy...that was before the game yesterday...Obviously, the "guys" see it as lemonade!
I'll take some "Mikes hard Lemonade"
