I've only watched a few episodes.

However, those with Cox HD Service in San Diego get the benefit of watching it in 16:9 1080i HD on Universal HD Cox channel 742. I'm not sure of what season is playing on there right now. They might lag by one season.

Anyone know the bitrate that the BSG DVDs are encoded at? ALso, are they 16:9 widescreen and DD?

I'm recording the BSG episodes on Universal HD in 16:9 1080i HD, one episode per DVD-R disc at the full 9.8 Mbps bitrate.

I want to compare the quality to see if it's even worth buying the DVD set. :)
