Broncos Trim Five from Roster

July 24,2006
By Andrew Mason

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver trimmed its roster Monday night, releasing five players -- three of whom spent the 2005 season with the club.

The Broncos released linebacker Josh Buhl, safety Brandon Browner, punter Tyler Fredrickson, defensive end George Gause and punter Jeff Williams. Buhl and Gause spent part of the past season on the practice squad, while Browner went on injured reserve in August.

Browner signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent just after the 2005 draft but would go on injured reserve with a broken forearm midway through the preseason.

I remember before last year's draft some people brought up Brandon Browner as a possible draft pick for us.
