Tomorrow at 6 p.m. Arizona time on the road against Air Force.awesome this is happening. When is the next game?
In honor of your thread and request I've stickied this thread, just as I did the thread on the football forum. I think as things progress and if the Aztecs continue to roll and run the table and go into the tournament as a top seed we'll see even more posts and interest generated on this forum. This is big big news for SD if things play out that this team has some sort of chemistry that is special. And it's a year where there is no major juggernaut supposedly so maybe the Aztecs have as much a chance as anyone. Why not us???? My only regret is there is no major sports complex being currently built in MV to include a major league/college sports arena and also a professional/college football stadium. SD deserves it. We deserved a better owner than spanos who could afford to take the risk to build the complex, develop the surrounding land, and was loyal to the city such that he/she wanted the best deal for San Diegans for all sports and events. Just imagine, a Final Four that could be played one day in MV in a sports arena and the Aztecs being in contention to play the championship game in their hometown. Whoa. Dreaming is fun sometimes. I just wish Joseph Tsai had been the owner of the bolts instead of the numbskulls we got stuck with.Guys. We are starting to get hyped as legit contenders. Sorry...I had a Snickers...hysteria receding...OMG! OMG! OMG! Aztecs are down 12-10 now...no way they can come back! It's hopeless! Aaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!
COVID-19 will probably get us all a month from now anyways!!! Oh, the gloom. Oh, the doom!
I liked the second half. Mitchell was on fire. One steal and dunk he did was badass.Wow!
35-33 Aztecs in first half
37-16 Aztecs (through 16 minutes of) second half!

If we win all our games and Gonzaga loses, we will be #1 in the west.It just sucks ass that it looks like the Aztecs will be put in the east bracket.
The only real shot at Gonzaga loosing is against BYU. It is @BYU, so maybe....If we win all our games and Gonzaga loses, we will be #1 in the west.
No kidding. I absolutely HATE any game played on that stupid blue turf......what I cannot comprehend is how the NCAA allows that schit to even occur. There should be some standardization of football fields and that should be one of em....green effing turf even if it's fake as hell. Another peeve of mine,,,,even allowing anything other than real grass turf. And domed stadiums piss me off too. Play in weather you pussies. End of rant. (for now lolz)Next game, tomorrow at 2 at Boise State. Hopefully the BSU basketball court is less headache inducing than their blue football field.
In baseball it has been traditional to have different dimensions, simply because ballparks used to be built in neighborhoods. I kinda like it, the basepaths and pitching mound are standard dimensions, the only thing that differs are the fences. A good defensive outfielder can account for the differences, but it also adds to the home field advantage. No kidding. The other thing I'm not too sure about is how baseball fields can be so different across the board. Should there not be a standard dimension for all baseball fields???? Then at least you have accurate comparison re: homers etc etc by teams in the league and players in the league. The only exception would be Coors Field which is played at altitude. But the Donkeys play on a regulation football field and no one seems to care too much that kickers have record days there. Or that players get gassed there. Getting off topic and off the sport, sorry. Just curious as to how stuff isn't fully standardized.

Dig a ditch for Coors Field. In baseball it has been traditional to have different dimensions, simply because ballparks used to be built in neighborhoods. I don’t like the Coors Field altitude advantage, but they have mitigated that somewhat with placing game balls in humidors. It’s amazing Hideo Nomo threw a no-hitter there in the 90s.
