By now you’re familiar with the story.

About to enter his Junior year at Florida State, Antonio Cromartie tore an ACL during a drill in summer practice, and missed the entire season while rehabbing after surgery. He then decides to forego his remaining college eligibility and enter the NFL draft.

Leading up to the draft, there were those who believed that Cromartie could easily be a Top 5 selection if only he returned for another year of A.C.C. football, demonstrating in the process that his knee is fine.

When the Chargers chose Cromartie 19th overall, there was no shortage of criticism of A.J. Smith for ‘reaching’ for a prospect who was both inexperienced AND coming off a serious injury.

Seems to me if some other pretender thought Cro was his boy, he would have posted this. But Cro is my boy and L can keep on pretendin!
