the dogs fucked it all up in the first place, you are exactly correct. They decided to get involved in promoting woke politics which has ZERO place in sports. So they cancelled the trans nuns then reinstated them and in order to do damage control when all the fallout began (think Bud Light and Anheuser Busch whose stock has plummeted hugely) they decide to do another no no by promoting and event catering to one religion. Absolutely insane public relations and all who made those decisions should not only be fired by the dodger organization but should be suspended and fired by MLB. Simple. Nothing to debate here.

Seidler , as I said, looks longer term than most....towards what that player might do to the net worth of his team which he will not realize until he sells or his estate sells down the road apiece. Seidler would make back all that money many times over that he spends on Manny, Jr., Soto, X, Hader, Ohtani etc etc when he sells and his brand has skyrocketed in value and his market has expanded to a worldwide market not just San Diego or regional to SoCal.....he thinks big, intenational for HIS club, not as the league thinks international. Smart guy if he realizes that Ohtani pays him back tenfold or more whatever he gives him in salary. PLUS it makes him an instant favorite to win the trophy which he desperately wants soon.

Baseball has had (insert special interest group) night for as long as I can remember, going back to when I was a kid watching Randy Jones pitch and that includes religious groups as well as cultural heritage groups, they even celebrated industries Rohr and General Dynamics, even the military and law enforcement. I think where it went sideways was allowing groups to have their own little side events ($$$) with giveaways and goodies, the Padres do this, they have a (insert special interest group) event in Gallagher Square, you have to buy an extra ticket ($$$) to get in and then you get the extra “special” (cheap giveaway shit) goodies, they’ll often have entertainment and that’s where the Dogs went sideways with the LGBT nuns.
I don’t know what they do to fix it, the toothpaste is out of the tube and it is expected that each team has a special night to honor whatever group and it is all monetized, after all it is a cash grab.
