NFL owners OK flexing of Thursday night games
NFL owners have approved flexing for "Thursday Night Football" starting this season.
Safety matters to the nfl.
yeah why even bother with a kickoff in the first place? LOL. Stupid league. Jeebus. That is one of the plays that creates some excitement when fielded and run back. Now the only real incentive is if a team is down late in the game and needs the sudden score. What a dumbass league.![]()
NFL tweaks fair catch KO rule, eyes less injuries
This season, a fair catch on an NFL kickoff will be placed at the 25-yard line regardless of where it is fielded.www.espn.com
This will effectively end kick-offs.
A comment and a question:And speaking of dumbass league lmfao:

Irsay: Owners set to extend Goodell through '27
NFL owners are set to extend Roger Goodell's contract through 2027, Jim Irsay said Tuesday.www.espn.com
it’s more like letting Riggs be a spokesperson for the nflpa.A comment and a question:
Figures they’d extend him, he’s a perfect stooge and puppet for the owners
Why are they letting Irsay be a spokesman of any kind? That’s almost like letting FUSpanos make an announcement.

It’s a wash.Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo underwent foot surgery after March signing, might not practice until training camp (nfl.com)
Does this hurt, or actually help, the Raiders?
I still don't understand how the Saints stayed under the cap. They were like $50M over.In other news apparently Gruden is down in N.O. helping Derek Carr and installing an offensive system......yikes.
How does someone get fired for making “inappropriate” comments but is allowed to get job with another organization? In other news apparently Gruden is down in N.O. helping Derek Carr and installing an offensive system......yikes.
didn't he sue the nfl??? or threaten to? Maybe that is why. I have no idea. NFL does perplexing shit all the time. How does someone get fired for making “inappropriate” comments but is allowed to get job with another organization?
what did they sign Carr for? He is a shitty QB , not sure how any team figures the guy is worth anything other than a backup. There's another guy who was constantly overrated. If gruden says he is a great QB then probably the opposite is true lolI still don't understand how the Saints stayed under the cap. They were like $50M over.
Yes, he is suing the NFL. The league tried to get the case into arbitration citing their (fucking bullshit) bylaws but the judge shot that down and now the lawsuit proceeds into the discovery phase. That pretty much means the league can’t touch him and if a team wants to hire him they can. The Saints basically hired him as a consultant, my guess it was a feeling out phase and if public opinion sways in Gruden’s favor they’ll probably hire him permanently.didn't he sue the nfl??? or threaten to? Maybe that is why. I have no idea. NFL does perplexing shit all the time.
and he said he made a mistake. How about a 100 bets were made. That’s not a mistake. If the league doesn’t start banning these dudes for life, it will get out of hand.Another black eye for the rigged NFL. Jeebus......way to go. And they have moved into Vegas??? loss of all credibility. Looks like one of the perps bet on his own team....I wonder if it was to lose??? wow.

NFL investigating Colts player for possible betting
The NFL is investigating an unnamed Colts player for possible violations of the league's gambling policy.www.espn.com
It’s already out of hand. Gambling is a major sponsor of the NFL and really besides TV the main backbone of the league. Everything is bet on in the NFL, it’s too late, they’re deep in bed with the gamblers, it’s the height of hypocrisy to come down on these players when the league wholeheartedly embraces it.and he said he made a mistake. How about a 100 bets were made. That’s not a mistake. If the league doesn’t start banning these dudes for life, it will get out of hand.
