This season, a fair catch on an NFL kickoff will be placed at the 25-yard line regardless of where it is fielded.

Yes, he is suing the NFL. The league tried to get the case into arbitration citing their (fucking bullshit) bylaws but the judge shot that down and now the lawsuit proceeds into the discovery phase. That pretty much means the league can’t touch him and if a team wants to hire him they can. The Saints basically hired him as a consultant, my guess it was a feeling out phase and if public opinion sways in Gruden’s favor they’ll probably hire him permanently.

It’s already out of hand. Gambling is a major sponsor of the NFL and really besides TV the main backbone of the league.
