Wentz to the Colts.
Eagles finally give up on the guy they should have let go in the first place. Colts are idiots for trying to get the guy. Draft a fucking QB Colts. Should have done that last year. Of course Andrew Luck basically screwed them.

I think for costs it's good deal for the Colts. I don't think QBs lose their natural talent in one year (see Rivers bad years vs good years) . Just as no one can say Herbert is automatically going to be better, no one should say Wentz or Goff, both young, won't get back to their earlier status.

Goff needs a run first offense. I think with gurley, the play action was a valuable option.
Goff doesnt seem to be a guy that can through 60 times a game and be successful.
My concern with Wentz is if he can stay healty. He needs to adapt his game to more like Brady and less like Mahomes.

I think that this story is really almost all about Reich.

He was Wentz' coach when W was undeniably elite in '17...and is obviously convinced that Wentz can still be coached to be that guy.

On one hand Wentz essentially fell off a cliff...and like most NFL fans, I wouldn't want my team's success riding on 2020 Wentz!!

On the other, though, I'm confident that Reich, who just made this choice, knows Wentz 50x better than I do. Also, W developed a bit of

a rep in Philly, for being an arrogant, selfish douche. Perhaps being chased out of town will be humbling: A needed wake-up call.

I think W was quite lucky to land about the only place he was really wanted right now. Of course, injury--as always--can wipe out everything...

Love to see the Raiders or Saints.....Mahomes and Wilson tearing up the Chuggers.
Saints need to drop like $80 million to make it work. You know JJ might do it. Let Dak walk.

Wasn't Nix originally considered a potential star DT????? I think I recall us wanting the chugs to consider him. But he fell way down on the board?

Nix was rumored to have interest from the Chargers 2014.
Chargers did draft six players , no fourth rounder.
None are still on the team.

Rd.1 Verrett before Demarcus Lawrence, Dallas
Rd. 2. Attaochu before Devante Adams, Green Bay.

There a pattern there. Somewhere.

Tomlin weighs in on Bieniemy. Please don’t move this to the political section, this is a football story.
Good article, Fender. Maybe things are changing with players telling the truth about their team and being outspoken about leaving. And Coaches like Tomlin speaking the obvious about the lack of diversity being consciously done. There is no way Don Staley is a better candidate than Eric Bieniemy. But he is a better “look” for LA/Spanos (a mini McVee look). The NFL is just a huge, vastly white corporation. Slogans are great...Football is Family....We Care....but they're marketing promos.
Sample:
“We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of Black people,” he said in the video. “The league admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the NFL, believe Black Lives Matter.”

What has the NFL done, politically, to prevent another George Floyd event happening this week? Nothing. But issuing another statement. Maybe.

Ps. Sorry If my response dooms these posts to the political forum. I think life should go ahead, not behind, Football.

Can't figure out how the line through text happen. But it looks good.
I really would like to keep it in the football section because it’s a legit football discussion, it’s not like we’re flipping it to Biden vs Trump, etc. Diversity is an issue, Bieniemy and Bowles should be head coaches in 2021, especially Bieniemy. He’s a former Chugger he should have warranted at least a legit interview. But hey, he’ll get hired somewhere, hopefully in the AFC West, where he can kick the Chuggers asses twice a year.

As I sez it......Football is a get away from life distraction when folks wish it to be.
But it's a Corporation. One of 32 owners, 29 of them white. All of them rich.
Diversity is a nice term. Looks good. But...heck. Even with draft bonuses, aka NFL coupons,
for coaching hires ....eh...
Tampering with each other’s players...now that is punishable.

Yes Bienemy should have received an offer IMO. IMO each case should ALWAYS be treated individual. Earning a spot on a roster, or earning an adminstrative job (think the dumbass spanos kids) or earning a HC or postion coach assignment should ALWAYS be based on merit. So Bienemy has very clearly earned his shot and Tomlin was right to call it out. What I disagree with is making it UP FRONT about race. Race should not be involved in those decision, rather merit. If race is the primary motivation in hiring anywhere , then we are a racist society......think about it. The pendulum historically is obviously against minorities but is slowly and gradually shifting. I always like to consider the theoretical, 'what if I were a minority and someone handed me a position ahead of another race just because there was some quota a guy like Tomlin came up with?" I don't think I'd ever relax knowing I truly earned it and ever get over having a differnt race HC candidate get shafted because some arbitrary quota were in effect. JHMO. And Bienemy has EARNED his shot.....and basically got ignored. Unforgiveable. So in that sense Tomlin is correct. It's happening and real. It MAY turn out Bienemy fails as a HC...remember Andy Reid is a huge offensive genius. So could it be like the dumbass McCoy getting a shot in SD from DEN where Peyton Manning and John Fox were calling all the plays basically? Maybe. But nevertheless he should have been given one of those openings. I'd say Detroit for sure over that flaming guy they hired there. But see my other article in the other thread....NFL should seriously be looked at as a candidate for shuttering based on the recent deaths of some very young players pending the Nix autospy and investigation.

And yeah Harry, OWNERSHIP, more than HC/etc etc, is where the diversity issue is hugely obvious. Too many white righ guy are running the plantation and getting filthy rich while leveraging cities and watching their slaves get CTE each and every year. And they love to drive around in golf carts observing the plantation while the slaves kill themselves in front ofthem . Spanos: "see john and ag,,,,,if you work as hard as I have one day you can own slaves like me and I'lleven let you drive the golf cart" What a fucker that guy is. He's the worst of the worst IMO. The recent article posted on here re: his filth rich is very telling. Yet he swindles fanbases and cities in order to quabble and make sure he's feeling he's extracted his pound of flesh. Biggest dick on the planet.

not at all being an apologist for the nfl.

I just wonder if eric is waiting for the right gig?

All of the coaching vacancies have sucked.

Plus, i dont think reid is long for coaching. His personal life has become a huge distraction that cant be ignored.

If I am Eric, I dont mind waiting a year or 2 to cach mahomes.

IMO eric is hciw at kansas city.

I'll believe it when I see it. HCIW almost never happens in the NFL.

Spot on. If ever a group was the poster photo for White entitlement NFL style, it's the Spanni.
Do nothing for their fan base, perform poorly on the field, take their early free no
effort NFL welfare check, lie and undersell their business partners and Say, they're working so hard.

If a nationalist racist reads thst, he'd done think I was talking about BLM LeeBrown.
