hmm I saw the headline in espn sports section he left the game with an injury but did not realize it was that bad. Dammit. That would be a tragedy for him and for all of football...he was just really getting going and good. That is the problem with running QB's .....I'd have to see how that happened to comment anymore and draw any conclusions re: running QB or not. That sucks whatever happened.I will be very surprised if tua plays again. The
Neck injury is really bad.
lots of concussions. He should hang it up while he still has an IQ in double digits (barely).
Not that bad:I will be very surprised if tua plays again. The

I just recall what happened to chris deilman and think this situation is very similar. I saw his hands and thought brain and nerve damage. Like I said, I will be surprised to see him on the field any time soon. Maybe not forever, but I really hope the dude takes at least 4 games off.Re: Tua. I was walking by a restaurant that had big screens and I stopped briefly to watch the football game, mainly just to check out the new Bengals uniform (I thought they looked weird), and it happened to be the play where Tua got slammed. I noticed his fingers were bent weird and I thought maybe he landed on them and crushed them. The players all got concerned and when they started kneeling I knew there was something serious going on. I had to move on and didn’t hear anything as I had the Padres on the radio.
I saw this picture on Reddit and I guess when you get a brain injury you do something called posturing, where your extremities involuntarily move. That’s what was going on with his hands. I really hope they don’t rush him back, he just suffered a head injury last Sunday and subsequently “cleared” by the sideline doctor, now this.

It’s outrageous they’re treating this like it’s no big deal. They can’t treat it like two concussions because they signed off the first one like he didn’t get one. I hope Tua is protecting himself and not letting the Dolphins call the shots here.Tua traveled back to Miami wearing a neck brace last night and will have a mri done today. I am surprised they didn’t do one last night. X-rays were taken and came back negative.
That in itself is outrageous. Plain xrays show zip unless there is an obvious fracture or dislocation. If he has a disc injury (which could impinge on the spinal cord) or a subtle fracture not detected on plain film.....and they release the guy to go to Miami and THEN get worked up by MRI that is potential negligence and ground for a personal injury lawsuit should he be harmed by delayed diagnosis. Completely insane they would do that and put the player and themselves at risk....player for further injury and themselves for a personal injury lawsuit. He probably will be ok given they put him in a neck brace, but why not just get him the MRI right then and there to be sure before releasing him? His symptoms were pretty significant on the field. Just get the damn MRI or at least a CT before sending him off in a neck brace.Tua traveled back to Miami wearing a neck brace last night and will have a mri done today. Wow. It sounds like Tua most definitely is NOT protecting himself and HE is letting the Dolphins call the shots rather than seeking a 2nd opinion from a neurologist who specializes in head injuries and concussions in particular. And that falls directly on his agent even moreso. The agent and Tua should not have trusted the Dolphins organization's choice of a so-called "independent specialist". The agent should have insisted on THEIR own independent medical opinion.Kareem Elgazzar/ReutersA neuroscientist who specializes in concussions called for the Miami Dolphins’ medical staff and coaches to be fired after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was hospitalized with a brutal head injury during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night. This is why I could care less if the NFL comes back. Clearly corrupt at the highest level in many different tentacled areas such as gambling and revenue over player safety and the fans experience. It took the Chuggers leaving to completely open my eyes to this. Don’t want them back nor any other team.Wow. And that falls directly on his agent even moreso. The neuroscientist is correct. Certainly one hopes Tua comes out of this unharmed and plays again at 100% but he should be taking significant time off now to make sure he's cleared and by cleared I mean seeking the opinion and care of an independent expert neurologist as above. This is insane, and yeah criminal if they are sweeping the 1st concussion under the rug and they should all be sued into the ground if this results in any kind of residual damage or even damage that requires him to spend more time away from the game than if he were treated correctly in a protocol after the first injury against the Bills. IF he misses any more time than he would have , the NFL, the Dolphins, the Dolphin medical team, and the "independent specialists" who the Dolphins say they referred him to after the Bills game , should all be considered negligent and sued for malpractice. I hope Roger Goodell and the NFL take a big hit over this.
I believe that these injuries are additive over time and if occuring too frequently without giving the brain a chance to recover adequately, it's like multiplying multiple injury damage several fold. That's why they have the fucking concussion protocol in the first place. How is this not surprising? The NFL does it again. And as far as the NFL penalizing the Dolphins? How about Congress holding the NFL accountable and penalizing them with an antitrust lawsuit and also putting them out of business. Crooks. Anything for more $$$$ for the NFL and to try to protect their image, as if they are doing all they can to make sure this kind of shit doesn't happen . What a joke. And for the Dolphins, anything to win. The player's agent is also hugely at fault here for not protecting his client. Another total jerkoff attorney who thinks his player's performance in the present in order to obtain a lucrative contract when he comes up for negotiation, is more important than the health and welfare of the player . I hope that jerkoff is banned from representing any player in any sport by the dumbass powers that be.
Corruption always happens at the highest levels and filters down to all the parasites who enable that bullshit to begin with. Eff them all.
