I thought Kroenke was tied up or settled by him paying off St. Louis.
I can't see why other teams (who get the relocation fees charged) would allow the
Raiders or Chuggers to have a free pass.

This year's update..

wonder what became of it

Chuggers have largest negative operating income. Rank in at #23.
If they were still in SD, they'd probably be no. 21.

4. Los Angeles Rams

Value: $4.8 billion
One-Year Change: 20%
Owner: Stanley Kroenke
Operating Income: $37.2 million

23. Los Angeles Chargers

Value: $2.92 billion
One-Year Change: 12%
Owner: Dean Spanos
Operating Income: –$48.7 million

Interesting discussion of how some teams pay their players and how the richer owners do. You know...some "owners" don't have a lot of liquid assets.

great find. Walton can pay lump sum up front which is really attractive to players as signing bonuses while most owners have to wait for league to issue checks for tv revenue and such to pay their players . Makes sense why rams get players to come there.

Chargers spent a ton this offseason. I wonder how those contracts are worded compared to rams?

I'd like to see Dean Spanos' name go up there.
After three weeks of great cheap publicity,
Jones could say, "We made a mistake on that one. It was suppose to be
Jimmy Dean's Sausages. And to tell 'ya the truth, I thought my best friend's name started with Jimmy. And I'm sure Spanos is Greek for sausages."

Do not use the word "Legacy" around this lying piece of sponge.

May 28, 2014

Roger Goodell:
"All persons associated with the NFL are required to avoid “conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the National Football League.” This requirement applies to players, coaches, other team employees, owners, game officials and all others privileged to work in the National Football League.

For many years, it has been well understood that rules promoting lawful, ethical, and
responsible conduct serve the interests of the League, its players, and fans. Illegal or
irresponsible conduct does more than simply tarnish the offender. It puts innocent people at risk, sullies the reputation of others involved in the game, and undermines public respect and support for the NFL."

Goodell is paid to be a convincing liar.

Warren sapp on Colin’s workout

But former NFL star Warren Sapp tells a different story. Sapp said in an interview with Vlad TV he heard the workout was a "disaster."

"I heard one of the worst workouts ever. I’m wondering how the hell this happened and the tape didn’t get out, right? I mean, somebody wasn’t over the fence or nothing? Come on, man," Sapp said Tuesday.

What is the big deal with the NFL trying to suspend Watson?
Let's assume he had 60 contacts with massagers and had some sexual contact.
If it all was forced, it would be a legal charge. There are no legal charges.
Civil lawsuits, fine. But having sex /and/or paying for sex is nothing the League should try and control. Mr. Dan Snyder of thr Los Commandos, has refused to be serviced by subpoena from U.S. Congress, he has known to have workplace sexual harassment' charges filed against him, that the Magic League decided should not be written down. Goodell says about this fine representative of this diverse, law loving league....
GOODELL: “I don’t have the authority to remove Dan Snyder.”

But push, push, push to take away Watson's ability to work.

Billionaires and their Law. Everyone else, how much law can you afford?

It's a corrupt League/Media Production company.
Synder is going to remain as an owner this year
but Mr. Watson, Mr. Gruden, and Mr. Flores
will continue to get screwed.

don’t forget that they are now suing the Texans for being complicit with hooking up watson with dates. The lawyer has evidence that not only did the Texans know but helped make the arrangements (allegedly). How do you suspend Watson and not take action on the Texans?

Here's a crazy idea: Keep the NFL and law out of the bedroom or the sexual location.

If sexual activity was unwarranted/forced...then the Law...not the NFL..steps in.
I doubt 98% of the Johns ever get sued.

You can't make this crap up. From the NFL List of Their Core Values

Integrity
We always look to make the right call.
We do the right thing when no one is looking, and even if it's unpopular when they are looking. We demand accountability and we expect fair play. We say what we mean, mean what we say, and always follow through. We accept responsibility when we get things wrong and then work to make them right.

Wow. These guys are giving religion a run for its money.

Sarah Thomas was the first and still only female NFL on-field official.

She worked the Feb. 2021 Super Bowl.

Thomas was joined on the Super Bowl sidelines by two female coaches, both with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lori Locust is a defensive line assistant coach for Tampa Bay, while Maral Javadifar is an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Ladies, recall that 2021 NFL pre season commercials?

Who's got your back?

Why have a political playground? Just delete everything that is or has a "political vibe or assumed to have one. Watson's dealings...Snyder's dealings...all are political if you consider women rights such an issue. They are far more political than actual football related.

Anyway, I say, just delete those posts and post what has been removed:
"These are Gone...Harryo...cost of medical care
Fender's response to above
DWF Comment on why it doesn't matter. "

Why not do what you say? Because it's a hell of a lot easier to just delete em. Why spend more time on just a bunch of crap???? Eff that. You want to moderate???? You are the cause of half the people leaving.

not when the politics causes people to leave...sorry have to disagree faded. whatever. you are entitled to your opinion. Anytime either of you 2 want to take over the moderating just say the word , I'm out of here too when politics takes the place of sports.

Add: I love Harry too....but just think we should limit this part of the forum to sports only...please try to keep it that way and try to avoid letting threads evaporate into a political back and forth even when sports involves politics.....let the sports teams mess up their game, we don't have to play along. JMHO.

Think someone who has a Gambling addiction would say,
"God, I'd love to.....but the NFL told me.......Jesus, I know I could clear
$20,000 this weekend with my four game system....but I gotta bet responsibly.
So, It"s Sunday...day games only....SNF might have action if I need it."

"The league is launching a responsible betting initiative aimed at getting fans to set limits on their wagers, understand the risks of betting, and know where to get help if things get out of hand. It is partnering with the National Council on Problem Gambling to improve the group's nationwide help line, create new treatment programs and expand existing ones, and educate football fans who gamble on how to do so responsibly.

"Sports betting is supposed to be fun," said Christopher Halpin, the NFL's executive vice president, chief strategy and growth officer. "We feel it is critical that the NFL uses the power of our voice to educate and encourage fans who choose to gamble to do so in a safe and responsible way. We also recognize that responsible betting programs across the country are under-resourced, especially as legalization spreads nationwide."
