Team says no deal is in the works
By Ronald W. Powell

Two development groups are interested in partnering with the Chargers on a stadium deal, but a team spokesman said there is no deal in the offing.

Mark Fabiani, the team's attorney and spokesman on the stadium issue, said the proposals from LTTW Partners and Knoefler Enterprises are among many inquiries the team has fielded, and that they were the only ones willing to make their interest public.

LTTW is a collaboration of local developer Lankford & Associates, now developing the Smart Corner mixed-use project in downtown San Diego; J & T Consulting, a construction management and development firm that has built power-generating and commercial, office and retail developments; Team Services LLC, a sales and marketing company; and W2, a Colorado-based governmental and public affairs firm that has been involved in the development of seven professional sports facilities, including the Denver Broncos' Invesco Field.

well, there's a little more than 2 months until other cities (LA, SA, LV) come to the Chargers with a proposal, looks like National City will be it if they are to stay

p.s. Trumpy will be in shortly telling us to say goodbye to the Chargers after 2007, hope the prophet is wrong on this one

You can cross Las Vegas off of that list. The NFL will NEVER allow it.

This is good news...at least something positive is going on with the stadium process...couldn't have said that a year ago.
